Why do so many people choose Shippet stadium?
-
True. I also like it because the batters eye is great. Some minor league fields can be tough to see especially with lefties. The batters eye is huge and a good color.
-
I never used that stadium. I’ve always chosen CBP

It has the altitude of a Coors Field but the lag of a minor league park, so all the cool kids play there.
Coors has an altitude of 5,280 ft.
Shippett is 3,002 ft. So it isn't Coors, but its 3/5 of the way there, the main thing is Shippett has some altitude but it is TINY.
The better minor league comparison to Coors is Laughing Mountain which is an altitude of 5,005 ft but much much larger than Shippett.
In Shippett you can play OF with limited range and be fine. With Laughing Mountain you need guys with range, especially in CF.
I play Laughing Mountain as my home park and love it. You get punished for having slugs in the OF and triples galore for speed guys that crushit to the gaps.

I guess I'm in the minority on this one but it's easy enough to hit HRs in this game, the last thing we need is to play in a stadium where you can hit a HR to dead center at 96 mph or to straightaway LF or RF at 89 mph. If your'e someone that regularly chooses Shippet stadium (or something like Colorado or Laughing Mountain), I kindly ask you to reconsider your stadium choices in the future.
Laughing mountain is a great stadium along with coors. Im a rockies fan so I might be Bias haha
I play at laughing mountain all the time. My favorite stadium

I personally like Bayfront. The Batters eye basically covers the entirety of Center Field. People who play at MLB stadiums (MinuteMaid) or choose Daytime should be banned for life from Ranked Seasons lol
-
I’m not a huge fan of Shippett. I usually go with a minor league park closer to sea level, like Riverboat.
-
As others have said, its because of the large batters eye, high altitude, and the fact that there isn't a reduction in frame rates like there is in MLB stadiums. I would rather play in any minor league park than any major league park. My go to is Statesman

God I hate shippett

Shippett is a terrible park. Rewards awful pci placement. So if you suck at the game or want to pad your stats so you can feel good about your inflated average, it’s the choice for you.
Man, get outta here with that nonsense. All stadiums are the same when it comes to being rewarded for bad placement. People play there for a reason and it’s not to pad their stats because of being rewarded for crappy pci placement.
-
Idiot stadium for idiot players, I hate it.
-
I might hit up laughing mountain myself thanks for the input. One think I like about shipper is seeing stats

Oak Street Park!!

Probably the same people who complain about giving up early/ok HR. I mean yeah, breathe on the ball at shippet and its gone lol.

Date Palm Field is best field

You don’t have a clue. Elevation does matter in this game. There’s a reason people that play at Shippett have high slg and terrible ERAs compared to others who don’t and have the same skill level.
At Shippett all you have to do is be completely under the ball with your PCI and it’s gone. Any other park it’s a routine fly out

Literally every park rewards awful pci placement. It’s not the park it’s the game bruh lol. Who cares ab shippet can we talk about the people that play at the time where you can’t see the [censored] ball coming out the pitchers hand cuz of the sun setting
This...and they choose solid white uniforms...
I still prefer Polo Grounds -
Edit: this is from 3 months ago. LMP for life
-
They choose it because it inflates there stats and they need views

I like Griffith
