They did that in 23. The year overall was very boring

Alright SDS- show your hand. Many of us love Team Affinity. The article for today’s drop confirms this is our only Team Affinity for the year. To hear this Jolt program is the only 1 all year is mighty disappointing. I can only hope you have something else to put in its place. For those of us who play primarily offline, this is our go to for content. Last year, the voucher system made my interest tank because there was much less content to complete after the All Star and Finest drops.

I am not just trying to complain. I hope there is a reason and that whatever is replacing the Team Affinity programs later on will be fun and keep us busy. As for now, this is very disappointing

I have not been able to play much yet. But in my second game I finally hit a home run. Who hit it? The cover boy himself. Gold Aaron Judge. LS Yelich hit one right after. Do you remember who hit your first in game HR? Moments don’t count.

I haven’t opened many packs so nothing yet. So far I’ve earned packs at a trickle. I forgot how hard it is to get started each year.

I’m gonna do my annual wake up to pee at 2am and when the game is finally downloaded I’ll do a walk through just to see where everything is. It’s helpful to have all these threads where guys have already figured out things. Also, I’m gonna get Ohtani this week. I know it. I have my credit card ready.

I really hope that this is a misunderstanding and they will have TA drops throughout the year. As a primarily offline player, TA is always the bedrock of content for me. It allows me to build rosters in creative ways like the manager of a fantasy team. And isn’t that ultimately what Diamond Dynasty is about? Last year I consistently ran out of things to do. OnceFinest came out without the typical TA program paths and conquest maps, I more or less stopped playing the game. Without TA, unless there is something equally robust, I can see this game getting stale very quickly.

There is only one TA drop this year? Legitimately this may make me not buy the game. I do not understand this company.

@Dolenz_PSN thanks man, to be clear I hated the set up last year. It rendered the All Star Team Affinity and Finest pointless as there was nothing to accomplish. I would prefer several team Affinities but with shorter paths.

So TA is team based and not division?

How does Team Affinity look this year? Do we know if it’s the same as last year where the All Star Game and Finest are voucher systems?

That is such an odd designation as there is no such award to my knowledge. But thanks for clarifying.

Do you mean, they have to have had the best average in both leagues? I’d had to do research but I’m sure some of the guys I mentioned have that.

The missions include 10 hits with former batting champs and 5 XBH as well. I have added several cards to my lineup who have won batting titles over the years but many of them don’t earn credit. Not sure if this is a glitch or if SDS doesn’t know it’s baseball history. I’ve added all of these guys below and none of them get credit.

Stan Musial- all he did was win 7 batting titles.
Juan Soto- yes it was Covid but he still won
Jackie Robinson- won a batting title in 1949, he also won the MVP that season.
Manny Ramirez- people forget he hit for a high average too. In 2002 he won a batting title with a .349 average.

Stop me if I’m telling lies. Is this a glitch or does SDS you only acknowledge certain batting champs.

What does it say on the schedule? My guess is we will get an Aaron Judge Cover card or I believe last year we got a Willie Mays, maybe a legends like that.

Good to see some of the old gang still around. I need to figure out a workaround so I can play online this year. I have TMobile and can’t play online games.

This was easily the best World Series we’ve seen since the Cubs and Indians in 2016. Game 3 a Game 7 both belong in same category as Game 6 in 1975 or my personal favorite The David Freese Game- Game 6 in 2011. Game 4, 5 and 7 in 2001 or Game 6 and 7 in 1991. It was all time classic series. I would love to see another series like it. I think the Jays need to make an another big move for their lineup and shore up their bullpen a bit. The offseason moves they made have been great but not that Bichette is gone, someone needs to make up that offense.

I mean obviously nobody is a shoe in. A 3 peat is incredibly rare. But I will argue we have never seen a team so complete as the current Dodgers save for the 1998 Yankees. We can’t compare to anything prior to 95 because of all the rounds of playoffs they have to go through.

This team has the financial might to plug any hole at any time with the best available player. Their bullpen was bad which is amazing considering how many elite arms the signed. But it wasn’t what they planned so they go out and buy Edwin Diaz. They don’t have an elite RFer they pay Kyle Tucker money as if her were Barry Bonds.

But I agree, they aren’t a shoe in, but definitely odds on favorite.

Oh man, I’ve been off this forum too long. I’ll need to get back into this year. I’m excited for the game because for once I’ve stopped playing regularly to wait for the new one.
