What do we think the new mini seasons rewards will be? Legends or Packs?

I've lost all faith in SDS. It'll be Packs.
-
I can't believe that they haven't said anything about it yet

Draft Map it Is!

This kind of makes run it back redundant. I had hoped there would be a way to earn older Spotlight packs as thats missing right now.
They definitely had poor value on mini seasons early in the year and corrected, hopefully 2026 is more balanced out of the gate
-
The Ultra packs are nice, and the 5 Chase packs is a great reward for winning it all, but the booster and championship rewind packs are annoying. Done all the mini seasons, so those cards do nothing for me or others who have done them all. Hopefully there's a choice in there for a Premier pack or something.

So guessing the new Diamond Quest in a few Days will also be some sort of "FOREVER" Diamond Quest, with the chance to win more previous rewards?
-
For sure

A lot of wasted Hall of Famers and Legends
Give us a Christmas pack with all of these guys.

Asking ChatGPT for some context about the quality of the players left on this list
Of the 38 players on this list, 10 of them have won either an MLB MVP Award or a Cy Young Award.
- Orlando Cepeda – NL MVP, 1967
- Vida Blue – AL Cy Young & AL MVP, 1971
- Bruce Sutter – NL Cy Young, 1979
- Jim Palmer – AL Cy Young, 1973; 1975; 1976
- Fernando Valenzuela – NL Cy Young, 1981
- Jim Rice – AL MVP, 1978
- Willie McCovey – NL MVP, 1969
- Justin Morneau – AL MVP, 2006
- Mark Davis – NL Cy Young, 1989
- Warren Spahn – Cy Young (only 1 league at the time), 1957
I assume 2 from this list or the other Hall of Famers come the list next Friday but that ain't much of a consolation.

This content is great for people who started the game late and useless for those of us who have been playing all year. I have a few hundred unopened packs. There isn’t much they can do do at this point in the game cycle to make it worth playing but as someone else mentioned, this makes run it back redundant. Legend cards would be a bit more interesting give us a reason to play.

And thats what forever paths typically are, for late comers and people that dont play as their primary game.
And also for people who just like earning packs instead of buying off market. good way to get HRD, Ultra (to trade in for finest for example) and chase packs.

I was hoping for some additional legends to help finish off the few Collections I haven’t done. Some of the prices are….whew!!!
Although I probably have enough stubs to finish. The latest conquest map got me over 700k in profits!

If you don’t have all the cards then why are saving stubs? Start spending the

I don't understand the mentality of packs/stubs rather than new cards.
Surely most who are still playing and willing to grind such a task would already have all the cards they need.
I've loved mini seasons but with nothing to spend stubs on, what point is there playing? So i can end with 2.5M stubs I can't use rather than 1.5M?

I truly missed the packs we had last year and the collections as they were I know no one agrees with me

@nymets1987_PSN
You're not alone. I'd rather last year's content than this year just without Sets and Seasons. -

You are saying you liked sets then.
Seasons: EXACT same concept as innings, just longer. Otherwise the two conepts are 100% identical
Sets: Cards with the same theme. Topps Now is a set. New Threads is a set. And in 2023-2024, cards released during a season were a set
Expiring cards: What people hated. Not the same thing as sets and seasons, and 100% possible with 2025's structure if SDS really wanted to (Events exist so they can obviously exclude cards whenever they feel like it)
People don't like being told they can't use cards. If they released 2023 again, but instead of forcing people to exclude cards they gave incentive to use newer cards (double pxp for newer cards, double xp for a lineup consisting of 50% new cards for an example) it would be hailed as the greatest year in the game's history (well, assuming gameplay improves)
The problem with 2024 is it still has the newer spotlight format, and the program content was terrible for 90% of the year.
I agree that the older pack model was better though. Which they did go back to after New Threads 2. And I personally prefer the bigger collections as well.
