Next game. Runner on first, ground ball to first, throw pulls shortstop off bag towards right field onto the grass, spin, throw, runner dead by a full step.
These guys are legends and impossible to beat. So ridiculous and maddening.
Without a doubt
Not sure what it is but this year's game seems really lackluster and doesn't seem to have anything that MAKES me want to play.
I'm not somebody that complains in large part about gameplay and issues that others do, which of course is your right in every part, but my problem is the content so far is very bland and boring.
I started play DD three years ago and found it very exciting. I couldn't wait to play the market, work my [censored] off to complete the LS and all the other rewards, but this year I've had zero interest in doing any if it.
Like I said I can't put my finger on it but this year feels like a waste of time.
I absolutely despise the set thing going on this year.
If I have a card I want to use just let me use it, who cares if it's in everybody's lineup, that doesn't mean I'm better or worse.
This game was very tiring this year having to go through the grind and semi exhausting pain of trying to piece together a lineup just to play a ranked game.
I sure hope there are major changes next year in terms of sets. I hope thus was a one year mistake.
FINALLY,
I did it.
My second year playing DD I obtained the two biggest stars in the game, Trout and Mantle.
Such a huge accomplishment for me. I am not a great player online, not great at playing the market or flipping, but what I did was exercise patience and found a way to get to the end of this road and I'm happy as hell.
Lots of hours dedicated and stayed my course. If I can do it, anybody can.
Time to put my team to the test again. Love this game.
Terrible idea, takes away the integrity of the at bat. Starting with a fresh count enables me to see pitches and determine what the pitcher is throwing and adjust from there.
I got three perfect, perfect hits in my first game. Two went for HRS and one was a hard groundball lineout.
To me it is because I it means I finished the LS collection and that means something to me.
I finished it tonight after many hours of flipping and investing cards.
I'll never make WS or do anything significant but it's fun to collect these cards and play.
And it usually leads to a missed catch and error. I hate it.

I got Mantle when the new Trout came out. I had 190K and after I began collecting Vouchers for Trout that took me to 220K and made a few stubs by flipping and ended up finishing off the LS.
I got lucky too when the LS prices dropped on guys like Cole, Velander, etc.
Not sure if it's me or what, but just got no hit and never even came close to a hit. Last two games I couldn't barely put a ball in play. I know Im not a great hitter by any means but holy [censored] this is becoming madness.
My opponent managed a meager 3 hits and a run.
I've seen the posts about monitors.....blah,blah,blah. That's great, but I won't sit in a secluded room for 4 hours on a small [censored] TV just to be able to hit. Something is just wrong on any level that two people manage 3 hit and a run in a game.
I don't know, maybe Im wrong, love the game, but online is just a disaster.
I get it. My online average is .179 and I strike out at least 16 times a game. Im just terrible, and have ZERO clue how to change it.
Read all the tips, watched the videos, nothing works.
I just play games in hopes I get lucky and win, but otherwise, it's a waste of time. Not quite sure why I even play.

I've never wanted to get frustrated and strikeout 19 times more than tonight. Well I guess I'll appreciate this game a little more now.
Didn't even know today was launch day. Not even remotely interested until after the New Year. I only play like 2 or 3 games at all anymore, so getting a new system is kind of like whatever.

I agree, pulled Trout my very first year three years ago and never again, yet some guys claim they pulled him three times in a day. Pretty amazing if you ask me.
Glad I'm not the only one who strikes out that much. And I thought it was me that sucked at the game. I knew something had to be wrong.
How do you guys do this so quick. Do you buy stubs just to complete collections or is there another way. I have to be missing something obviously.
