Red glowing circle when fielding outfield

Wtf is that thing? I get it at least once a game on flyball that should be routine.

New feature this year, extreme catch indicator.
-
And it usually leads to a missed catch and error. I hate it.
-
Definitely doesn't work as intended. My Diamond fielders allow a popup to drop right in front of then for no apparent reason except yo give my opponent a hitt
-
If I press R2 to dive with good timing I usually catch it when I see it.
-
I've seen it, NEVER caught it; either bounced in front or went yard!

Then back off a bit and play it on a hop or dive. It's basically to help people know that bad things can happen if played aggressively. If the game is late and there is a chance at blowing a lead I will play it conservative so it doesnt get by my fielder but if it's a catch I need to have, I will go aggressive after it, possibly dive

Haha thanks for giving online people lessons cause most of them feel they are entitled to catching every fly ball.

I think the indicator should be harder to see if you're diving with a fielder whose rating is poor.

Skippy you're not being very helpful, I might have to report you for no reason at all but I won't cause I'm a man. Hey little buddy, remember that post that went out about not agreeing with people and ignoring them?...how about you be a champ and ignore me so you'll be happy in your happy DD casual bubble.

This. Mantle is scared of it. A number of times he's fast enough to get under it, but if I don't dive (no need to because he'd get there), he just stops short of it and the ball drops right in front of him. Good idea not quite implemented the best way.

Yes it happens more to mantle than any other outfielder in my lineup
