Because since @Mike__Honcho_361 is so concerned with how he does in a video game he has digital hubris and forgets that some people just play to have fun.

They don't worry about stats and records, in a video game, like he does because unlike him they don't need to validate their self-worth with how they perform in a video game.

So therefore, anyone that has a bad record, high era, or low batting average isn't good at the game.

But no worries; I heard that he may be seeking professional help for it.

If MLB agrees to Universal DH I think they will have to put it in all the DD game modes.

I make sure my favorite pitchers have an ERA of 0.00, much to my own detriment.

I am also a strict follower of the traditional lineup structure. Two speedy guys bat first, followed by my best batter, power guy bats cleanup, followed by two more decent power/balanced bats including the catcher (who bats 6th). 7th hole goes to anyone really. Speedy guy bats 8th so that the free out (the pitcher) doesn’t totally ruin the inning.

I practice swing between almost every pitch. I don’t know why.

I take a one-step lead off first until the pitcher stops throwing over. Sometimes do this on second, if I know my runner can get back in time.

I go out of my way to avoid a double play if I have a runner on first and less than 2 outs. I hate, hate, HATE grounding into those.

I hate shifting. My defense has the traditional “straight up” alignment with normal depth at all times.

I despise that, in Moments, I have to bat with the pitcher when both teams are in the American League. It’s stupid and incorrect. So I intentionally strike out, out of spite. If only I could wear an oversized helmet while doing so.

It is imperative to me that I get at least one run in the first inning in conquest. The pitcher gets confidence quickly in that mode and it sucks sometimes.

I won't practice swing until it's a full count. That's just me.

Also, I don't bother with taking an extra step. If I'm going to steal, I just steal. Not saying what you're doing is wrong. I just don't like extending the game longer than needed. (I especially hate it when the pitcher constantly throws over in Moments. Especially if the guy on third has a speed rating power than 60)

I'll let you guys in on a little secret.

I can give a Ray's @$$ how info in a video game. Unlike you two I don't need to validate my self-worth with how I do in a video game. I'm fine with my skill level. I play to have fun.

People that abuse game exploits and also play like complete tools is not fun.

And if you two are worried about what, and how much, I post; DONT [censored] READ IT!

Curious to see if anyone else has any weird 'quirks' when it comes to playing this game? Online or offline.

Me personally; when setting a lineup, whether it's for online or offline, I can't seem to play more than two (righty and lefty) actual closers. I always have 2 CPs and 6 RPs. I also have to have at least 3 lefties (CP/RP) in my bullpen.

When drafting for BR. Unless there is absolutely no other hitter/pitcher I can take that round; I WILL NOT draft a relief pitcher that only has three pitches in their repitoir.

Also, I try to draft at least two Silver starters (one righty and one lefty).

I also try to have four silver's in my BP. 2 lefties and 2 righties. Again, unless I have no choice, no three pitch pitchers and no closers if I already have two.

When playing offline and online; I try to not swing at any pitch until I get two strikes. Not really a quirk; but easier to do offline than online.

Also, when setting my bench (offline or online) I also have to have at least two left handed batters, two right handed batters and a switch hitter. Even if it means that I have all the same position.

Anyone else or is it just me?

A 'thirsty' player is another way of saying a player that will do anything to win a game. They need to quench their 'thirst' for a win.

It's not that I won't play them. It just at this point in the games cycle, where I have the team(s) that I want, minus a player or two, I just want to play some baseball.

I don't want to watch Little Timmy bunt dance EVERY at bat.

I don't want to sit there and wait for Little Timmy to stop holding R2 so I can pitch the ball.

I don't want to sit there and watch EVERY HR or defensive play on a replay.

I don't want to watch Little Timmy try to quick pitch me; even though he just spent the last inning holding R2 for allotted time each at bat.

If you're going to try to pull every trick out of your bag just to quench your thirst; you can play someone else.

I'll just report you for toxic play and move on.

that the 'in game' reporting players function is just there for show.

I've come across two to three people that I've previously reported for playing toxic and they're still playing the game.

I realize just one person reporting someone won't get that player banned; but with what these players have done during our game(s), and chances are they do this stuff EVERY game, they should've been banned by now.

but what are all the Show Veterans thoughts on at least one more season of the BR program after this one is over?

I wan Arrieta and I refuse to pay 600K for him (thanks stubs sale) and there are two may 'thirsty' players right now for me to even think about playing BR.

Same question with Ranked Seasons (I would like to get Billy Wagner).

Everything people have said in this thread was wrong:

• There wasn’t a paywall.
• There was no completing a percentage a month. (That was a separate, unrelated program.)
• Immortal-specific grinds were unlocked from the beginning of the game. Card-specific grinds were only unlocked later, but you could make about 50-70% progress on each immortal before Career Arc II dropped mid-year.

If he doesn’t earn him there is no way he’ll be able to buy him at this time. There are too many buy orders in for Turner and at this time in the games cycle those amount of buy orders will never be fulfilled however he might get lucky and be able to get him through a rewind pack in the next event.

True, I guess I was just assuming that he'll be in the event rewind pack and will be a bit easier to aquire in a week or so.

Event cards dry up the minute the event is over that is why their value holds throughout the games lifecycle. Turner is the best event card to be had and at this point anybody who was going to sell has already done so. As of Tuesday you are more than likely up sh** creek if you were trying to buy. Sorry to disappoint the OP but they should’ve thought about it before deciding to just put a buy order in and assuming it would be fulfilled. It very well might but I highly doubt it if he wasn’t already in the que.

Its all good. I don't really want him. Was just playing the Event because I'm done with the offline stuff that I wanted to finish.

Figured I could parallel some cards and if u got the 25 wins it would be a bonus.

8 out of my last 10 H2H games have been against opponent's that have done everything cheap that they can to win.

Pretty pathetic when you need to cheat at a video game.

I have everyone that I want right now, except for Arrieta and Wagner.

Would rather play BR for Arrieta and RS for Wagner and maybe Trout.

Heck, I could but Wagner and Arrieta and play RS for Trout.

Besides, with me only being at 3 wins in the Event and needing 22 more to get Turner; that means I have to win at least 7 a day by Tues afternoon.

Even if I went .500; that's at least 14 games a day.

I don't think it's worth the stress.

1st couple weeks, but 21 with the xbox players packs became not worth it in a few days. we ll see for 22, gamepass yes or not will affect it greatly.
rule of thumb for packs early in the year- as long as most bronzes are above 300 and most silvers are above 500 then packs are worth it. not so much when they go under those.

Yeah, RS game. But after 5 innings of nothing but fly outs he sent a Friendly Quit and I accepted it.

I tried that. I thought that was mainly for SDS and not Sony themselves.

Like when you go into block someone; instead of pressing X on the three dotted line, to block, you press Options (I think) and it allows you to select Report then Profile.

Not positive about the events. But I do believe RS is going on from the get go. Packs just depend on economy. Trout was 350-450 K most of year at the start. Then by September he was 150k. So it just depends.

Thanks. As for packs; I meant it could be the best time to buy and sell off what you get as I assume other levels of cards (Common, Bronze, etc) may be at a premium.
