I make sure my favorite pitchers have an ERA of 0.00, much to my own detriment.

I am also a strict follower of the traditional lineup structure. Two speedy guys bat first, followed by my best batter, power guy bats cleanup, followed by two more decent power/balanced bats including the catcher (who bats 6th). 7th hole goes to anyone really. Speedy guy bats 8th so that the free out (the pitcher) doesn’t totally ruin the inning.

I practice swing between almost every pitch. I don’t know why.

I take a one-step lead off first until the pitcher stops throwing over. Sometimes do this on second, if I know my runner can get back in time.

I go out of my way to avoid a double play if I have a runner on first and less than 2 outs. I hate, hate, HATE grounding into those.

I hate shifting. My defense has the traditional “straight up” alignment with normal depth at all times.

I despise that, in Moments, I have to bat with the pitcher when both teams are in the American League. It’s stupid and incorrect. So I intentionally strike out, out of spite. If only I could wear an oversized helmet while doing so.

It is imperative to me that I get at least one run in the first inning in conquest. The pitcher gets confidence quickly in that mode and it sucks sometimes.

I almost always pitch my starters 5 innings when playing against cpu and then go to my bullpen so I can get 2 holds and build innings for my relievers. I have 6 different rosters that I run (1 per division) and I compare their stats frequently. If I'm winning by 4 against the computer in the 9th, I'll walk in a run to get a cheap save. Those are definitely oddball moves.

Oh I almost always intentionally walk the first hitter when using a pitcher with a slow windup like Lefty Grove or Bob Feller.

I also waited to do all three TA5 conquest Maps and didn't use any TS5 Finest through the whole program so I could drag out the TA5 for a while.

I was considering walking batters for pitchers with slow windups lol. I’m just worried the next batter will hit one out. CPU is scripted that way.

I also don’t open any of the stuff I get from a new conquest map until I finish the map, and with my starters I try to pitch perfect games every time.

What could someone possibly do during the game that would require you to report them?

I guess I get it when people are reported for vulgar/explicit team names and logos since there are young players out there playing the game. But what kind of play is so toxic that deserves reporting and being banned?

I wan Arrieta and I refuse to pay 600K for him (thanks stubs sale) and there are two may 'thirsty' players right now for me to even think about playing BR.

Same question with Ranked Seasons (I would like to get Billy Wagner).

I play tons of BR, I finished the program while there was 28 days remaining

BR is not filled with “thirsty” players and even if you do run into one or two during your BR run just beat them… it seems like you make mountains out of molehills

The kids are off from school and with nothing to do after opening gifts. I’m sure this plays a huge factor. Also all the cheesing adults are off from work. Bigger player pool I suppose

If he doesn’t earn him there is no way he’ll be able to buy him at this time. There are too many buy orders in for Turner and at this time in the games cycle those amount of buy orders will never be fulfilled however he might get lucky and be able to get him through a rewind pack in the next event.

True, I guess I was just assuming that he'll be in the event rewind pack and will be a bit easier to aquire in a week or so.

Event cards dry up the minute the event is over that is why their value holds throughout the games lifecycle. Turner is the best event card to be had and at this point anybody who was going to sell has already done so. As of Tuesday you are more than likely up sh** creek if you were trying to buy. Sorry to disappoint the OP but they should’ve thought about it before deciding to just put a buy order in and assuming it would be fulfilled. It very well might but I highly doubt it if he wasn’t already in the que.

I thought along these lines the day he was announced so I put in a buy order right away and got him about a week ago. I'm still new to this game, but do you think there will be a new reward for the upcoming event and that Trea will be in the event rewind pack? You are absolutely right, he's by far the best event reward of the year, I guesssome of this depends on if the next reward is highly sought after.

I think the next event will be our last unique reward event program. Once the forever event begins it will be crapshoot as to what rewind rewards are made available. It’ll probably be a base and elite pack with odds commensurate with the reward.

Also, change messages to friends only. Then it becomes funny watching them sit in the pause menu trying to send you a message.

When you preorder everything is live: RS, events, and br are all going on during the early launch. Most streamers and elite player will have the LS collection complete by regular day launch. It’s not an unfair advantage, it’s a marketing tactic to get people to purchase the higher end versions of the game and it’s smart business. Maybe next year they will not have the server problems they had this year but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

Personally I like the lineup as is, might switch Turner for Jackie and put Lindor in the 8th spot so you have a secondary leadoff type at the end of your lineup.

Do you really need a backup catcher in DD though?

I guess it depends on how often you pinch run for him.

Yeah, realistically you're right. It basically comes down to exactly that. And Pudge isn't the slowest option.. I'm just a nerd for authenticity.

Those missions were completed while I was working on TAs.

I had all 6 Monthly Programs to around 46 pts (All I needed was the Moments, a handful of Missions with the latter players, and the collections).

All my buy orders for the TN, and two 2nd Half, players (except the Silver Varslo), went through; so I got Griffey and had to do the May 24th TN missions to get Varslo (was 23rd on the list of BOs) and I'm about two stat missions from finishing the Aug Monthly Program. All the others are at 100%.

And if I want to replenish stubs; I still have 24 weeks of TN Moments to do where I can sell off those cards.

Debating if I want to hammer out the new Conquest map and then concentrate on getting my remaining Event wins for Turner.

Then I'll probably concentrate on finishing the BR program, if I can before the 28th) to get back the stubs I spent of 2HHs Pujols and Soler, plus pick up Arrieta.

Then I'll split time between the next Event and RS until the next inning.

Maybe I should've worded it differently; but what I was actually trying to find out is if they included 10th inning henchmen last year when they released the final Inning.

I didn't want to spend 90K on players that I can get a month later for 30K.

I think he's trying to understand, if you don't need them, what's the point? I bought them all way higher than I needed, but stubs are irrelevant at this stage. I officially have every card (other that Alomar which sucks and the completionist in me wants to scream but there are bigger problems in the world and I need to breathe, at least that's what my therapist tells me.

I just don't get saving stubs at this point. I have 1.9M with nothing to buy. So, probably they will be included, but if you don't need them for a collection and you're not trying to get every card, unless you just wanna have more juiced cards of average players and Charlie Blackmon who is better than average, don't worry about it.

You’re right. Oh, and it all just came flooding back to me…how you would have to try and artificially extend games in order to get your guy another AB. For me, it meant intentionally walking the CPU with the bases loaded (two outs) until the score was tied and then trying to get out of the jam to go another inning. Wow, that sucked.
