On Veteran, I steam roll through the first 8 or 9 games and then all of a sudden I hit every thing right to a fielder. I square everything up but get nothing but maybe a walk for 3 to 5 innings!

Then the cpu wins one of two ways. They pull an outside-off-the-plate pitch for a homerun or they inside-out it for the bloop that lands in the outfield between 3 fielders and their runner on 2nd knows absolutely it's going to fall and is half way down the third base line before the ball hits the ground.

I've done this 5 or 6 times now. It's pathetic.

For context, I play offline on Legend and my DD team is stacked just as much as my opponents in Mini Seasons. I, in no way, feel challenged by this mode on Veteran.

Does this one loss ruin everything? No, but I want the XP and I don't want to feel the game is psychologically trying to manipulate me into buying something.

GTFOOH, SDS. Stop the skewing! Trying to be like EA will only earn you a place next to them in Hell.

With this release and not listening to the community at all I think they might be EA at this point.

What is it specifically about this release?

Less content, hitting is worse than what last year was (the worst year for hitting before this year) and they say the gameplay team says the game is playing as intended, which has pissed alot of us off because it's a brush off.

This comment says it all and is why I am just about at my limit regarding this game. Starting to look at other games because broken gameplay coupled with ignoring the playerbase means it will only get worse down the line.

Yes a lot of names are missing but 39 of 150 gives me some hope that there will be actual legends and not as mentioned earlier in the thread as "guys who played the game".

Howard, Morneau, Mauer, Willis, Youkilis, Utley, Gibson, Johnson and Musina are all huge additions.
J.R. Richard surprised me as he is the oldest one (revealed so far) that they have gone back for.
Wilson had 4 really strong years as a closer and is a good choice for someone different.
Weaver, Napoli and Durham are not players I look at and think of as "legends".

It's at the point I am thinking SDS will make champions out of players like Junior Spivey and Pedro Alvarez because apparently players like Yogi Berra, Ray Allen, Steve Carlton, Bernie Williams and others from the previous eras are too hard for them secure rights for to get and use.

Lmao at Willis being a huge addition but not Weaver, despite Weaver having a much better career. And Napoli has more career fWAR than Howard (with less PA) and only slightly less than Morneau, while Durham has more than both Howard and Morneau. Those 3 guys deserve to be called legends just as much as guys like Morneau, Willis, and Howard.

All strong points there, not gonna argue.
It's just my opinion, I enjoyed Willis when he burst on the scene and was never impressed with Weaver but that's me. I still think there are better options out there that keep getting passed over.

Don't count on it being smooth.
This is a Sony owned company and you can guarantee they did not do any upgrades to the servers to compensate for the upcoming addition of the Switch to the cross-play within the game.
This game will be unplayable in April.
Which is truly sad because it shouldn't be like that.

There was a month where they changed a "1" to a "2".
Maybe they will do that.
It does show however that math is not their strong suit for it to happen more than once.

I am still short the packs (6 packs shorted) from the 1st weekend of Twitch Drops. And at this point I am not expecting them to show up since the silence is deafening on support's side.
However, I did receive the 2 packs from last Thursday (had them by Saturday) and the 5 packs from Saturdays Twitch Drops (those showed up almost as soon as they were claimed).
I have not heard back from support in almost 2 weeks now. (Ticket# 141480)

I had everything all redone and correctly linked before today's stream.
Logged into the game like you said and over an hour later nothing had dropped regarding the 2 packs claimed just today.
So I have only received 4 of 12 total thru today's twitch drops.
(4 of 10 from the October and 0 of 2 for September.)

We got information from Twitch that if you changed your Twitch password recently you will need to re-link you Twitch account due to the security breach on Twitch recently.

Make sure you have done the following:

1. Create an MLB The Show Account
2. Link your PSN or Xbox Live to your new MLB The Show Account
3. Link your Twitch account to your MLB The Show Account

It should look something like this:

After I updated my Twitch password last week after they were hacked I noticed the Twitch side wasn't connected anymore so I had un-linked and re-connected the account to be safe. Not sure if anyone else noticed this or not.

I still only received 4 of the 10 from the September drops and have claimed both of today's drops and haven't received them yet as well.
I haven't heard back from support regarding the ticket I submitted since my last reply from them on the 8th.

We are looking into it. It appears to be impacting players who previously had accounts linked and something wasn't connected or disconnected correctly.

Make sure you disconnect your previous account link on Twitch under Connections

1. Create an MLB The Show Account
2. After creating then link your PlayStation or Xbox (or both) to this new MLB The Show Account
3. After linking your platform account, then link Twitch to the MLB The Show Account.
4. Watch some streams. Make sure you click claim. Drops should appear in your inventory the next time you boot up the game.

Note that if you have Drops in your Twitch Inventory, you will get them in-game as we identify what is causing the connection issues.

I was not linked to Twitch last year and have at this point claimed 8 of the 10 drops but have only received 2 of them so far. It appears that the 5 from the hourly drops did not show up and the 2-hour drops are just slowly coming in. I will submit a ticket once all have been claimed as you suggested in the discord just to keep from doing multiple tickets and also so I have an exact total of what was received and what was not.

Is there a reason why some players are getting their twitch drop packs and some are not?
Everything of mine is linked correctly yet nothing has appeared yet.
Hoping for a reply from SDS on this as I am seeing this topic on several streams among the viewers and streamers as well.
