I'm soooo glad I'm still new. Maybe in a few years I'll start feeling the pain of some of these gripes. But yeah, as of now, it's still 🐶 and 🌈 and Randy Johnaon sliders.

This is actually fun, there could be more exciting new legends announced each day.

Buiuuut, I say since @SchnauzerFace is a good sport, we make this a drinking game along with the "I selected two of the same player in TA" and "why can't I buy Johnathon Diazo or (insert faceless call up here)"

I guess you could say I “pulled a schnauzer.”

(I did that once, and now I am no longer allowed in any petsmart location in the country)

    I gotta hear this story.

There are 39 people on that page and it says check back daily for updates. Sds tweet said they have over 150. This is by no means an exhaustive list yet. It's basically a quarter of them which would make sense with 3 more days until release. Come on people, stop emotionally reacting and actually think/read

I think and hope you’re right. Losing so many legends would be devastating.

Pretty sure we wouldn't even have a game to play if they lost over 100 legends

Alright, let's just all take a deep breath, stop pulling a schnauzer and let's recap.

The legends trailer tweet says over 150 legends.
    The website has 39
The website says check back daily for updates.

Do I need to keep going?

I’m missing Ty Cobb, didn’t find a replacement for him in 21... A speedy lefty lead off hitter that hits bombs, I hope one day he’ll return.

Believe it or not, Rod Carew might be your answer. He hits bombs for me every year, and he’s been one of my favorite cards since 19. I think his power is in the 60s but he has a nice swing.

Pretty good comp. Ty Cobb in MLB20 was just different though - the ball jumped off his bat beyond the 80-something power he had.

I have been disappointed by the legends they have revealed on that list.
Yes a lot of names are missing but 39 of 150 gives me some hope that there will be actual legends and not as mentioned earlier in the thread as "guys who played the game".

Howard, Morneau, Mauer, Willis, Youkilis, Utley, Gibson, Johnson and Musina are all huge additions.
J.R. Richard surprised me as he is the oldest one (revealed so far) that they have gone back for.
Wilson had 4 really strong years as a closer and is a good choice for someone different.
Weaver, Napoli and Durham are not players I look at and think of as "legends".

It's at the point I am thinking SDS will make champions out of players like Junior Spivey and Pedro Alvarez because apparently players like Yogi Berra, Ray Allen, Steve Carlton, Bernie Williams and others from the previous eras are too hard for them secure rights for to get and use.

Lmao at Willis being a huge addition but not Weaver, despite Weaver having a much better career. And Napoli has more career fWAR than Howard (with less PA) and only slightly less than Morneau, while Durham has more than both Howard and Morneau. Those 3 guys deserve to be called legends just as much as guys like Morneau, Willis, and Howard.

Dont worry guys. They didnt lose 75% of the legends from 21 lol. Pretty sure we will see most if not all we had in 21 in 22.

Yep missing Cobb as well as Hornsby, power 2B with a good swing.

All strong points there, not gonna argue.
It's just my opinion, I enjoyed Willis when he burst on the scene and was never impressed with Weaver but that's me. I still think there are better options out there that keep getting passed over.

Until last year, the silver rookie Rod Carew 2B card we always had was consistently my favorite hitting card. I hope we get that silver budget beast card back…that and the silver hardware Eddie Murray.

And Joe Morgan's defence at 2B is really outstanding. He recently saved a late game 1 run lead for me with bases loaded and 1 out making a great diving stop to start a 4-6-3 DP.
