I maxed out a few days ago. I'm taking the opportunity to finish the BR program and get all of those new cards before the new collection comes out.
I’m in the same position as the op. First program I have maxed out on. I’ve never finished a BR program, or even really started one. Any tips for completing it for someone who isn’t good enough to go 12-0? Will doing some runs with 6 or so wins be good enough to eventually get it done?
If you can get six wins a run, you can finish it pretty quick. My guess would be around five entries. BR has always been my favorite mode, but I am burned out right now and this will probably be the first one I haven’t done in two years.
Do you draft the guys with missions? Or just best team possible? What’s the HR bonus? think I have 4 in two games so far
@PennStateFencer already mentioned a lot of the things I will mention and his gameplan is awesome. I definitely use mission guys and I look at the program before I start to kind of see how I want to go about it. I typically start with one pitcher and two hitters from the mission guys, but sometimes you will get an extra in that will pop up in later rounds.
I always look for players/swings I do well with regardless of the tier, but I do the same as he said and only draft bronze starters....unless it is a mission starter. I typically draft silver relievers and try and save as many gold and diamond for hitters as possible. I never use diamonds on hitters, but I will definitely use silvers when it is a player I do well with. With relievers it is full of silvers like I mentioned, but sometimes there is a bronze that I know I do well with and will grab them without hesitation. I try and fill my bench with a solid bat against lefties and a solid bat against righties, these can often be bronze if the right ones show up. I also keep at least one or two bronze/common speed guys and I like to keep a bronze/common catcher. This helps if I get a slow catcher on late in the game, I can run for them and then have a defensive replacement available.
I could definitely go more in depth, but I feel most of the things I would say have already been said by @PennStateFencer. His approach is very similar to mine.
