How is the Community Market feeling? (5)
-
Well it let me do maybe 60 sell orders and then gave me a 3 hr timeout. It would really help if I knew why it was doing that. I even slowed down on placing orders which I hate so much, I can do 20 orders in 30 seconds, but I have to make it take 2 minutes for every card I do 20 orders on? Why does how fast I hot "finalize" make me a bot? I can't do 500 orders in 30 seconds like they do so it should be pretty easy to tell.
Just for me it would seem placing 60 orders on the community market is a ton of activity for one person to carry out. You wrote that you can carry out 20 orders in 30 seconds. OK, to my mind that's pretty close to bot level activity. It seems rather extreme for a human. I mean, seriously man, that's one order carried out every 1.5 seconds.
My conclusion? You just put forward the logic of throttling order activity to ensure it remains a human endeavor vice a bot endeavor.

Howdy,
it's 1:45 am Pacific, and I just turned on
the ultimate filter...Please let me know if you experience any issues and/or if the Community Market feels improved!
Has this been disable the last several hours?
-
Y filter is off

@Manu__SDS_MLBTS I hope it gets turned back on very soon and stays on. I understand some adjustments need to be figured out but in the meantime I think the community is better served with it remaining on during that adjustment period.

It was a good couple of days but the bots are officially back on the marketplace
-
There was a decent couple hours… it was mentioned elsewhere that changes made last week were disabled shortly after they were activated. It sounded like adjustments needed to be made and it was unclear when or if they would be turned back on. In the meantime, bots have advanced. Whoever is making the decisions on how to police the marketplace needs to completely change their approach. Allowing bots to continue using the marketplace when it’s been demonstrated that they can be effectively blocked is baffling. If the cost of keeping bots out of the marketplace immediately is a few innocent players are timed out from using the app for a couple hours, including myself, so be it! Make adjustments from there. The entire market is corrupted by bots. These bots are stealing from players and sds. Choosing to continue enabling an environment where bots can thrive, despite knowing the harm they cause, is an egregious and unconscionable dereliction of responsibility to maintain an environment of fair play and protect players from foreseeable harm. Please turn back on any and all measures to prevent bots from using the marketplace asap.

The bots aren't stealing from anybody. Its the third party sites that doing the stealing.
Their operations would be severely handicapped if SDS would go after the content creators who are promoting them. Stop the promotion and the bots will be slowed down.Just think about this bots have been around for years. The marketplace hasn't had this bad of an issue until this year.... why may you ask? Because content creators decided to sell their souls and start promoting these cyber criminals.

Blame whoever you want. I don’t really care who’s responsible. I just want it to stop. Everyone who interacts with the game is affected by the market. Not everyone that uses the market are brainwashed by content creators. Or even watch them. I don’t. One round of bans is a start but to continue ignoring the problem and not actively combat it doesn’t do anything to stop it. Time for action!

True.... but they control what happens in the game because of.they provide free advertising they provide.
-
Everything SDS is doing is managing the bots not necessarily trying to eliminate them, reCAPTCHA only helps us to learn to live with them.

Let me add one thing. Seems to me SDS may be listening to the very people they should NOT listen to! My point is normal human beings will only process around one or two orders a day! A day! Not seven or eight orders every five minutes for a whopping total of around 200 orders a day!
So, if that kind of insane "trading" is getting accounts banned, then perhaps that is a good thing! Therefore, instead of listening to those who moan about being "slowed down," perhaps SDS should consider that a victory and not ruin it.

It's not all that insane when doing gold exchanges. Quite honestly, I put in about 10-15 buy orders for investments for the next collections. I maybe skipping it but doesn't mean I can't profit of it. Everything is well within ToS. If they don't want people mashing that finalize sale button or putting a big number of purchases then they need to change their ToS. Just as we are beholden to ToS they are too.

Tomorrow is PlayStation plus day 1.
A) it will be an exciting day for all players that use the marketplace because thousands of new players will start playing the game.
B) it doesn’t matter what happens in the game or marketplace because bots control the marketplace. -
@manu__sds_mlbts think we could get that ultimate filer turned back on?
