Banned- Ticket Response
-
We are all at a disadvantage to only hear the banned user's side of the story and have no way to verify either side.
Through the years of playing the game and visiting the forums it is a cycle we have seen often. The people who come to voice their displeasure always plead their innocence.
Now, we do know that SDS have banned or restricted people on false positives before so it is always a possibility but it is hard to just take everyone's word for it.
I can't tell from the write-up but it sounds like you may have actually bought and sold between more than one of you own accounts? If so that is against the rules even if you are just moving stuff between accounts.
As for three years being fair. I will say yes if it is restricted to just MLB The Show 26 and no if it prevents you from playing next year's version

Didn't do the WBC exploit, didn't transfer a stub between a second account because I only have one account, didn't buy from a third party, and am adult enough to admit if I did any of this stuff because it's a video game, not life or death.
Would I like to have my account restored? Sure. Do I think that I did anything wrong? No, this entire issue was related to a lack of control on bots and 3rd party sellers, which I didn't even know either existed until this year as it's only my second on DD.
People won't have their accounts restored because doing so will show how truly inept SDS is, and I really haven't had anything bad to say about them until now. I haven't been around long enough as a DD player to compare to the "glory" years that the long time vets speak of, but this being done without a warning is worse than EA, which speaks volumes.

To be honest, of all the "woe is me" folks who have claimed unfair banning, your arguments are detailed and logical enough for me to actually believe you have been wrongly banned. Of course, I don't know that for pure fact -- it's a gut feel. But, for what it's worth, I believe you.

@PriorFir4383355_XBL I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, especially considering I was falsely restricted earlier in the year. It’s just unfortunate because there are for sure people lying about it as well.
-
@TheRealJSpit_PSN EA let you off light for breaking the rules. They could easily made it longer but they are the kings of micro transactions.
-
@Apolloz_99_MLBTS the 2-week ban was enough to make me stop. It was like a detox from it because it was a rush doing the transactions. Never messed around with anything like that again.
-
@TheRealJSpit_PSN that’s cool but it isnt only about you. I guarantee you that is atleast a few people who would rack up warnings and keep trying to bypass the rules.
-
It sounds like the OP got mixed up, with people who were actually transferring, by flipping Equipment/Sound Bytes.
Unfortunately, I do not know if there is a way for SDS to see where each transaction goes/comes from per account.
Sounds like OP was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
It sucks. But it does happen.

I put a regular old ticket in with the support team on June 12th and they just got back to me 2 days ago. So good luck getting anything done with this sad excuse of a team at SDS. Just chalk it up as a loss and never buy this game again lol. I low key wish I would get banned so I wouldn't be able to play it. (Sad I know)
-
I flipped the same diamond equipment for large profit but I didn’t get a ban. Perhaps I wasn’t active during the period they reviewed. Or these other guys aren’t stating all the facts.
-
@theBlindRhino_PSN it's facts. Glad you didn't get banned.

I think I believe you as well. You're not applying "outrage" to your every post, you're just seeking answers. Unfortunately, SDS isn't overly forthcoming with facts when it comes to these things.
The issue is I think when you either bought or sold, you unknowingly did so to/from a bot account- so in 1's and 0's speak, you did it. It's also unfortunate because SDS has no way of telling if you knew or not- there's a ton of "I din't do nuffin'" posts from people lying through their teeth. Like I said, I'm now fairly certain I believe you...but I don't think this is a battle you'll win

Is the ban for three years on MLBTS26 or does it carry over to all future iterations? Anyone that's been banned able to play MLBTS25?
-
@theBlindRhino_PSN I can still play 25... my understanding is the ban is 26 only.
-
@Sarge1387_PSN I have already said my piece to SDS. I agree with you, I definitely got caught up in other stub transfers with the equipment flipping. I hold out zero hope that anything will change and I am cool with it... I can get my baseball fix from 25 if needed.
Nothing to get all fired up and aggressive about, I love playing the game but honestly, the real victim here is my wife... her adult babysitter got taken away!
