Is your interest waning?

My interest is definitely waning, but it has nothing to do with the quality of the game. My interest always starts to wane around this time because I'm not one of you wierdos who wants to focus on just one game every week for an entire year. I don't know how you all do it.

Prime example why just happened.
Playing miniseasons the all star one, 9 inning games 28 game season. I'm on game 5, my pitcher has half energy because he happens to also be on the roster for the other team, and (this was later in the game) the 2 pitchers I brought in from the pen were half energy too (again also on opponents roster) despite the fact my first 4 games were all CGs.
Facing the whales at whales stadium on veteran difficulty (used to do AS until just about everyone has outlier)facing LS Cole, knocked him out with 1 out in the 2nd after putting up 6 runs. they bring in 26AS Varland, in the 3rd inning he was red at 20 pitches and a batter later no energy at 25 pitches, got 2 runs off him in 4th or 5th(single and homer) and they still didn't take him out, with 2 outs in the 6th at over 50 pitches got a solo shot off him and they finally pulled him, the whole way still has all his break still throwing 100+ even though out of energy for more than 30 pitches. wasn't any easier to hit.
Funny thing is guy that got last out in 6th was his only batter and after that they faced 3 batters only and pulled.
It's stuff like this that makes the game not fun to play, makes you wonder why you continue to bother. -

I’m not losing interest cuz I play the game when I want to. The only time I don’t really like it is when I have to grind event just to get thru it and I limit my offline play to almost nothing. And I really only worry about content regarding my theme team or my favorite players.

I just picked up FC26 because of the WC hype and it’s increasingly taking up my time.

Still enjoying the game and still playing just as much. The All-Star and Draft content has been fun, lots of new cards to try. I usually start to burn out some time in September as the real season is ending and football starts up.

No there’s other games out I wanna play too. BO1/BO2, Black Flag, Halo, and GTA is close so it’s not the game as much as there is a bunch of good stuff finally

All star content is the point where I often check out. I think you jump the shark there, and every card is just another 99. The power stat becomes the only thing that matters.
I know 99s are not all created equally - but you quickly reach the point where every card is just stupidly juiced. Theres no lineup construction or team building, and no rewards have much value. Its just...I guess Ill replace this 99 with that 99...maybe his swing is better...?
A real deep team building mode would fix a ton of this.

Ive been mostly done since inning 2. Did play a good bit last week with the all star content.
For all the gripes I have about content/rewards, ultimately its the gameplay. And its somewhat a skill issue.
First, i prefer using timing hitting because it is less HR focused and more of a spread of hit types.
I dont pick up the ball well, and my swing timing is all over the place. I am usually close, but not quite there. The edge of good timing, still in the green but on the edge. The thing is, this is a foul ball most of the time. Given how few of the CPU pitches are worth swinging it, its frustrating to finally get a good pitch, be close on it, but have a foul ball.
The game just plays different than it did a few years back. And its not more challenging, its just more tedious.
More tedious but less rewarding is not a good combo.

It's my primary game right now, and I enjoy it and play every day. This is my first year playing online, last year was my first with DD, so I have enjoyed it. It's fun beating people online and also getting smoked, which happens a lot more than I'd like.
I will switch to CFB soon, once it's confirmed that the dynasty issues are fixed and won't play this as much, but will still play.

I'm still loving it when I play...but my desire to play it is waning for sure. I'm sorry to beat a dead and now rotting horse, but ever since the massive staff turnover a few years ago and a very clear philosophical change in how they produce and present the game- it's gone downhill for me.
I don't mind the presence of MTX stores- it's the way gaming is these days, and I know 100% they are optional- but making collection/rewards almost exclusively dependent on microtransactions, and a super strong shove towards the store really rubs a lot of us the wrong way.
Then there's the game itself, which plays very differently than it used to. I think some of this is skill issue, a good chunk is the fact that they tweaked (and largely f*cked up) timing windows. Curves are getting from hand to plate quicker than FB's. Fielders are back to have zero urgency when throwing, another thing is: either every outfielder covers too much ground for their ratings or the outfields aren't scaled correctly and everywhere plays significantly smaller than it should.
The content structure is lacking, too many resources were put into the mobile game that's performing worse than anyone could have expected, and not enough into the game that should matter.

I finish the inning program this year then stop playing until the weekend before the program starts, to prep xp for when the new program starts if that answers your question. Last year I thought it was a much more solid release

Not sure why, but I am enjoying the game as much as ever.
I am swinging the bat pretty well online and I’m having fun trying to figure out how to prepare for the next collection.

I'm still enjoying it. But I'm a casual player who plays offline only. I still have a few TA teams to knock out so from a content standpoint I'm doing ok.
Still focusing on getting packs in the hopes I pull one of the big ones. Still need both gatekeepers.

My interest ebbs and flows as the year progresses. It is a mixture of not just the game and it's perceived quality but also what other games are released.
Crimson Desert, 007 First Light, and even Palworld's 1.0 release has stolen a ton of my time so far.
Even when my interest is high it is not a game I can marathon. After 4 or 5 conquest or mini seasons games I need a break

@Dolenz_PSN it’s hard to focus everything on just one game. Especially if it takes time to progress like it does on the show. Rather than a fast paced game. Especially if I already have the path finished. At that point I’m grinding for show packs lol .
