@rubicante23_PSN people are scared of losing. Its just a game, win or lose it had zero influence on your real life; and if it does, you need help.
It's not that at all.
All I do is hear online players complain anout online play.
- Cheaters
- Dashboarders
- Match ups against superior players
- Disconnects
- Complaints about some magic logic keeping bad players in the game
- Complaints about good contact not being rewarded and bad contact getting hits.
- Etc
As a general rule I would say when it comes to actual gameplay we offline players are more content and happy than most online gamers.
ALL OF THIS. All I hear is complaints about the online play, why would I want to play it? Plus, I feel like making more people play online is only going to make things worse for gameplay if the servers already can't handle it.
Why can't SDS do something along the lines of making it so if you play offline line you need to get 4 or 5 times the amount of stats as an online player? That way the online player is getting their stuff quicker, can play online and still make their stubs while the offline player has to grind more.

@skywalker_25_PSN You also only hear how bad this game is but you still play it...I play mostly online and ive been disconnected one time. Out of maybe 100 games I've come across 2 or 3 cheaters, but that doesn't make online not fun. You should just give it a try for yourself and see if you like it instead of listening to people who only complain on here...

I've played online a few times in previous years, it was not a pleasant experience.

Let me break down this entire thread for everyone that doesnt want to read the comments. More crying and complaining from the offline community players. Get your a s s e s online or go play something else. Us online players have to play countless hours of mini seasons, conquest etc. So i can care less about you babies crying. Yeah i said it. all you offline players can block me. Im tired of playing offline.

@skywalker_25_PSN last year online was absolute DOO DOO. I would disconnect at least every 3-4 games. It was brutal. My point is, don't dog on online play if you haven't even tried it yet

You only hear about all those complaints and downsides about online play because people don't come to the forum to talk about the positive games that they play. I play online a decent amount and very rarely run in to any of the issues that have been talked about in this thread. My advice (that nobody asked for) would be to try it out for yourself instead of relying on what other people tell you, because the vast majority of experiences shared on the forum are only going to be negative ones.

I dont think this will create a problem with good players tanking their records to get the homeruns and stats vs easier opponents..

Here is what I don't get about the "play how you want" complaints. How far should we take it? What if the only way I want to play is to do 1 moment per day. Should I be able to get every reward in the game by playing 1 moment per day?
It is actually very simple. A mission like get 3 k's in multiplayer could also have an alternate say even like 25 k's for offline.
Don't get me wrong, I would be totally fine with that. But what if someone doesn't want to do either of those things?

I don't get upset when people complain. Getting upset over a video game is never worth it to me. I'm not trying to be disingenuous. Just using an extreme example to make a point. The idea of "playing your way" is basically impossible, because there is always going to be someone out there who doesn't want to do something that is required to earn some rewards.

The idea of “play your way” isn’t impossible, they just provided you with the solution which was implemented into this game for nearly a decade, then you doubled down on your disingenuous redundancies.
Nobody has ever said I want to get everything for doing nothing but stealing bases or only playing one daily mission. The complaint is always the exact. Don’t FORCE ONLINE or OFFLINE, give options for both. Whatever the option is works fine. You’re either too dumb to understand this yet complain about it every possible moment, or constantly disingenuous. It can’t be both.

I dont play Ranked. So I guess I cant get Acuna, nor the 75K in stubs.
Which is really ok because Acuna has CF as his Primary and I dont need another CFer.
I need a RFer. But I'm not going to grind for someone that has RF as a secondary when I can probably get enough out of WBC Tatis at P5 until my end game 99 RFer drops.
Also, in the amount of time it takes me to earn the 75K in stubs; I can make 5x that flipping!
