You EVER going to FIX the BOTS in the market
-
I don't know if there are bots or not, but flipping margins are starting to get back to previous year's returns, so I don't really care.

I'm actually doing ok these past few days to be honest, now up to 200k on my Ohtani climb. If my recent success continues I may have him by next weekend. Fingers crossed the margins stay.

@DSquared80_PSN the cards that have good flipping margins are always the ones that have bots on them that undercut my sell order as soon as I place it. They also cancel their old sell order at the same time. The speed it happens, it can't not be bots
-
I must be lucky. I've flipped, in the past few days, from 20K to 350K.

The past few days have been great, other then the lag

I wish I had the patience to do that so I could get Simmons and Berkman

If he would have realized this, they wouldn't have fallen into the trap.(Referring to the pic not the post)

He realized it too late. Admiral Ackbar had some real rough luck.

@SaveFarris_PSN oh yeah I was doing great until they restricted my account. Now I can’t. and I’m afraid to flip cards on the console because if the restrict me there, then what? I submitted a ticket but I doubt this will get fixed anytime soon if ever.
Still, thanks to an Ohtani pull and the margins opening up a few weeks ago, I’m now 2 cards away from completing LS. And I was able to complete several of the smaller collections. If I’d been able to flip this week I might have LS done.

@Dolenz_PSN I only do it on the app while I’m listening to an audiobook or bored at work. Or at least until they restricted my account. The funny thing is, I had nowhere near as many transactions as most flippers. I put in 20-30 buy orders, give it 15 minutes and then sell. Maybe a few hundred a day.

Funny how peoples perspectives can be so different. To me, a few hundred a day seems like a lot since my history only shows 118 transactions for the whole year so far.

Very true, I don’t flip, I only sell off duplicates that are worth it and buy cards I want. I have around 10k completed orders.
-
I'll say this again, the only real way I see that they can fix this is to remove the marketplace from the app and webpage. Both are too easy for people to setup scripts and macros to do automated transactions.
That is why when the app is down, the marketplace starts to normalize until the app starts working again and then it goes back to frustrating.

Totally agree. As much as I used to like the app I’m good with it being closed down if it normalizes the market. As it stands now the market is being heavily manipulated by bots at least 6 out of 7 days so I’m over it. As Jon Taffer used to say “shut it down”.

Last night on a couple items, and even throughout the day- the bots were going crazy. They can now add, adjust and remove original bids simultaneously. I think I'm on board with the "Turf the App" idea. Sucks, because I used to flip on my lunch break years ago and make easy 40-50k in a half an hour...but it's the time's we live in I suppose. Few bad apples ruin it for the rest of us

@DrBear100_PSN they will never shut down the app. The app doesnt exist to aid us as players. It exist so sds can farm and sell our data. Its all about squeezing every penny they can out of their customers.

Kinda paradoxical if you think about it. We as consumers are on the app farming stubs while SDS is farming our data but they can control how many stubs we are able to earn but we have little control on how much data they can earn. We'll, I am not sure what or how much data they are farming from us but I'm sure however much data (whether miniscule or a lot) they get from us is definitely worth more in real world dollars than the 5 million stub limit we have in the game
-
@Ericulous1_XBL I think flipping on console might be safe? I've never had a problem flipping there before. Though I must say the controls are sensitive this year.
I hope you get your account un-restricted soon, man. This sucks. If you haven't, I'd reply to the automated email you got after you sent your ticket and ask for an update.

@Sarge1387_PSN SAME! I saw the same thing going on. Flipping on the app used to be fun—I did it so much during my down time in college. Just sat in the library and flipped away. It's a shame that the bots are destroying the integrity the market used to have, and it's getting innocent users restricted.

What data are they selling that we did not already give them access to when we log into the console or the game itself?
