    I'll die on this hill- they poured all the resources into the mobile game. A mobile game that everyone groaned at in November when they initially dropped the idea, a mobile game that everyone thought they went "ok, that wasn't as warmly received as we thought it would, let's just scrap it" because they didn't make a peep about it for months. And then they released it. The game that nobody wanted.

    What’s strange is that there are obviously work arounds being exploited by bots because you see sell orders being posted for hundreds at a time. No way that’s simply multiples of 20. If anything they have incentivized the cheaters to go all in and left the honest long time players of this game suffering the consequences. It really sucks.

    Very plausible theory. One thing is certain, SDS is operating with a code team so thin they can hardly fix major bugs, much less go back and fix ones that carried over from previous years, and that makes it certain that unless something dramatic happens within SDS, this game title is never again going to see a significant technological advance, when that used to be the hallmark of the game title. SDS is going to ride this worn out horse until it lies dead in the desert.

    That's not really caused by lack of competition. That is caused by lack of leadership focus. Competition can be entirely in-house, with leadership demanding the best, and giving coders strategic goals and rewarding success and punishing failure. But, instead, we have a game title that had plodded along so many years now with minimal changes, that the code is tired and overly layered with quick fixes to bugs.

    I no longer know what it will take for SDS to figure out that the customers have been handing them the roadmap for rejuvenation, but SDS seems stubborn to accept any of those options.

    This year’s game is horrifically shallow. It’s hardly worth playing.

    I WANT to play. As a tigers fan I WANT Miggy and Vmart. But stubwise, the goalposts have been moved so far down the field this year

    As a Cardinal fan I have been fixated on the cost for me to get Pujols, Simmons and Berkman but I had not paid that close of attention to other teams.

    Having 2 players stuck behind the most expensive collections is just a crime. Does nobody at SDS consider these issues when choosing the collection rewards?

    @Dolenz_PSN this is the part where I mention they didn’t actually plan to choose a second Tiger. But of course everyone online found out early, so they went for the first switch hitter they could throw in to replace the original guy

    @PriorFir4383355_XBL I remember saying in here I wasn’t sure they had a long-term plan for this game. I was wrong, but that’s because said plan appears to be whatever that mobile thing is.

    Is there anything about the game you do like? Something that still excites you? I still get jazzed up when I feel like I'm on a nice little streak hitting the ball. Rarely happens because I need to practice more but I digress. I'm a franchise guy but I've now gotten into DD pretty intently. Online play is no joke challenging. Wired remotes are a must...loading times are still slow as heck!

    Random question...why don't catchers throw the signs to their pitchers? You can see it when playing storylines. What gives?

    @Messiah_Ortiz_84_MLBTS PitchCom. most pitchers don’t use physical signs these days. (would it be cool if they made it so legends did, though? absolutely)

    @Dolenz_PSN

    I don’t think they consider this at all but, they should. I think it’s somewhat random plus they target players and fan bases they think will get them the most stub purchases.

    Personally, it’s been a rough year as a Tigers fan both in this game and in real life. Having Miggy and Vmart as the 2 major legends and flashbacks collection rewards stinks. Being a consensus choice to win the AL central only to sink to the bottom is brutal.

    Ultimately, I went into this season pretty hyped for baseball and hoping for the best only for my Tigers to completely [censored] the bed and this game to reach new depths of corporate greed and a lackluster product.

    So I feel for you in that making your favorite home team players virtually unreachable is awful.
