It’s not like this is the first time they’ve done some stealth changes when it comes to the market. They stealth raised the live series caps last year. Think it use to be 500k moved to 750k.

The 20 card limit stealth. Very recently (today) they moved the cap again on live series cards. Ohtani was capped at 500k now he’s uncapped. The greed is insane. Also games a buggy mess and ui feels terrible. They need some competition game has been going downhill for years

If you have idiots who would rather break the credit card instead of just playing the game to unlock everything, why would any company put a limit on the amount of money they can spend? There are two avenues to unlocking everything in the game. You can spend money or, and this is the crazy one....you can just PLAY THE GAME.

People with the "i want it all and i want it now" attitude will spend money....the rest of us will just play the game. Thats why we bought it in the first place.

Right. My issue isn’t necessarily the no limit. It’s the changing of the limit and saying nothing. If you have special people who want to drop thousands then fine. But changing it is a bad look to the community.

SDS has always been pretty bad at communicating with their players. And I say that as someone who actually loves this game and defends it pretty regularly on the forums. So I agree that it’s frustrating, but if you’re still relatively new to MLBTS then you’ll have to get used to their lack of communication. Again, I do love their games, but this is (in my opinion) the weakest part of SDS as a whole.

I don't necessarily agree. In the old days their streams were less structured and they answered more questions. You could also find various high level team members like Ramone in forums answering questions.

What we all need to realize is that these days the Videos, web blogs and live streams are marketing. They are trying to highlight the features that they think might make people more interested in the game while avoiding topics that may sway users the other way

@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN let us know when you earn 3M stubs to afford the live series collection, PLUS keep up with the bi-weekly collections they drop.

I haven’t heard anything positive (or even neutral) about SDS’ communication for years.

They never answer simple questions on the forums anymore. And they have never answered simple questions, like how attributes work. Now that we can modify our attributes manually with the new parallel system, it would be nice to know what those numbers actually mean.

I remember several years ago, ramone was on a stream and talking about H/9 or K/9. He was basically talking about RNG without saying it. But he said something like “the k/9 attribute and the contact attribute go at each other.” What on earth does that mean? How should we allocate our attribute points if we don’t even understand what they do?

Maybe you’ve had better luck getting responses from them than I have. But their poor communication is generally my biggest complaint with the company overall.

(And also removing Frank Thomas from the game)

Guy....you dont have to "earn" 3 million stubs. You're given, quite literally, hundreds...possibly thousands....of packs for playing the game. If you dont know how to collect cards and sell dupes, i dont know what to tell you. You dont have to buy every single card.

I remember watching the mod stream and I had more questions than answers. Now trying out mods I’m so confused. I don’t even see the base attributes and how much they increase by. It’s just terrible lol

That's why I said the old days.

I know I have seen Ramone on the Operation Sports forums in the old days.
I remember when something was wrong and the game did not release at midnight Nick Livingston started streaming to show the game and keep people as up to date as possible

That was probably at least a decade or more ago though so I understand why people don't remember it.

@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN almost 70% of the cost of LS is in 10 cards. Either your suggestion is “just pull them”, or you’re kidding yourself on how much you’ll get from selling dupes.

And again, we’re talking about keeping up with collections too.

I blame the streamers and YouTubers who drop $500-$1k on pack rips just for views. It’s the worst trend in sports games influencer content.

@Wink_Face_Bro_PSN Those views = money for them + can claim on their taxes. Why would they not do it if people watch?

I’m not saying I don’t understand why they do it, I just don’t agree with it personally.

1,000% (I've run out of "up votes" again).

Speaking of which... Who cares about card limits? I WANT TO UPVOTE MORE THAN 20 TIMES A DAY.

I don’t have a problem with people doing that. But it’s their money who cares? They’re always going to do that tho so the change is weird. I just don’t support the greed so I’ll never buy stubs. If the game ever catered to them because they spend the money it becomes an issue.

This is the bigger issue, the fact they said nor mentioned anything about it. They did the same thing when they cut in-game XP in half a couple years ago(xp you get per inning).

A lot of the vitriol towards SDS is well deserved…but well avoidable if they just bothered to communicate these changes….but for whatever reason they enjoy bad optics. At the end of the day there’s nothing we can do but voice the opinions.

I'm not remotely bothered by the changes themselves. Diamond Dynasty is the least greedy ultimate team mode, and its not even remotely close. We don't even have a cash shop currency for example. I want SDS to make more money so we can get more legends.

However, as others have said the communication is an issue.

The flip side of this, while it doesnt excuse SDS's communication, is the players took this too far. There are people making money off of telling people what to invest in. Investing was never a feature, it was a side effect of the live series updates. Better this than remove the updates completely.

I see they’re very specific with what they mention. I saw the stream of them saying paralleling a hitter is as fast as a pitcher and showed the increases. But didn’t say that the p5 was moved back up to 10k. So they increased the values but increased the cap lol
