Legends Trailer Breakdown
-
I like how they showed Roman Anthony as Fred Lynn LOL
-
Pumped for Red Schoendienst and Phil Rizzuto, and Campy and Pujols. Hopeful for more though
-
At least we finally got some Yankees.
-
If they don't pull a major headliner on the launch stream like they did with Beltran last year, this is shaping up to be the biggest "run it back" year of The Show in a while.
It's not an awful list, but most of the biggest names revealed so far were all in the game fairly recently - Pujols/Felix/Pedroia/Andruw Jones. That's not new.
And we haven't even seen the list of removed Legends yet.
-
@SakAttack87_PSN I agree. I really hope they have something big they’ve been keeping a secret. There’s nothing getting me excited for this years game.
-
I am happy to be getting Pujols back. Hopefully we get a version that has 3B and OF secondary positions. I am still hoping we can get a 1B Goldy MVP card before he retires.
The Red Schoendienst card will instantly be dismissed as garbage by every non-cardinal fan (and maybe even some Cardinal fans). He did have several seasons batting over .300 but he only averaged 6 HRs a year. He never won a single award (Gold Gloves, Silver Slugger, or MVP). And from the looks of it did not have great speed.
He is a hall of famer but there were probably better choices. Here's hoping that they did not dump any existing Cardinal Legend to add him
-
I was really hoping for some 86 Mets love. But hey, I guess the Mets can get a crappy gold Burnitz
-
@Dolenz_PSN Id be surprised if Pujols with those secondaries wasn’t one of the collection rewards.
-
I’m also disappointed that we didn’t see any of the guys we were speculating about previously showed in the game by name only Khalil Greene, Jim Abbott etc.

I've said it all along. If he is the MLB or even possibly the NL collection reward he will be out fo reach for me. I am not grinding to be able to afford Ohtani
-
I feel like you could get Pujols pretty quick if you didn’t have 7.8 thousand posts on the forum but who knows
-
Jeromy Burnitz....
Mets legend for chasing down Guillermo Mota along with crazy-eyed Mike Piazza and super Joe McEwing, back in the day in Spring Training, I think. -
@Dolenz_PSN You play this game plenty to get him within a few weeks. You just need a good plan.

Doubtful since I don't flip. I won't hesitate to sell any early diamonds for stubs but even then I won't make enough to get Ohtani.
Plus those first few weeks will be packed with distractions for me. Crimson Desert comes out at the same time and I will probably spend more time than is wise trying to update my app to works with 2026 and it's changed to attrubutes
-
In their blog they said there's 40+ new legends.
-
@Dolenz_PSN You don’t have to flip to get him. You just have to be smart about how you play and spend. Ohtani should be the first player you buy if you aren’t flipping.
-
@palmerjones_PSN The way it’s worded sounds like at least 43 new legends.
11 new negro league players
Albert Pujols
Dustin Pedroia
Craig Nettles
Jeremy Burnitz
Felix Hernandez
Phil Rizzuto
Red Schoendienst
Jeff Conine
Dave Roberts
Fred Lynn
Andruw Jones
Adam JonesThat’s only 23 confirmed
I’m guessing several will be WBC non MLB players. Are they considered legends though?
-
I love seeing the new lists, but I always wonder which legends will not return. I feel every year we lose more good players than we gain. I hope that isn't the case this year.
-
This is sad. Wow, every big name is a returning legend, and everyone else is just filler nobody really asked except for Lynn and maybe Schoendienst. No Mets love this year

-
@w1ck3dx24_PSN That wasn’t the case last year. It was a great year for new legends and the only big legends lost I can think of were Mariano Rivera and Banks.
