@GradektheBard_PSN The live series collection is one of the most exciting things in this game at launch. Removing 99’s from the collection is an awful idea.

@GoozeFn_PSN it is ONLY because you can get 99s and skip power creep. If it didn’t exist at launch then the actual content would actually be exciting (like it is in every other game) instead of simply insta sold for collection stubs like it is now. The LS collection does way more harm to the model than good.

@GradektheBard_PSN 3 cards out of a 26 man roster in no way ruins the power creep or the ongoing content.

@GoozeFn_PSN yes it does to both. The excitement of new card series is diminished because everyone just sells the high round (if they get it) to fund LS (when those high rounds should be the best current cards in the game) AND the 99s (plus the 6 division series mid diamonds, plus all the LS diamonds themselves) absolutely ruin the power curve. I get it, you like having a huge advantage over your opponents, but you should also be able to recognize that it isn’t good for the overall game (again, if it was every other ultimate team game would be doing it).

@GradektheBard_PSN It usually takes me at least a month to gain that advantage, so no not really. It takes most people longer. It’s really not that much of an advantage. I get beat by worse teams all the time. Do you honestly think they’ll get rid of something that drives people to purchase stubs? It’s arguably the most exciting thing at launch.

Live series collections the first month I'd assume is by a large margin their biggest money maker. I would be shocked if they didn't make as much money 1st month as the next 11 combined.

I'd probably agree. Never underestimate the need for many gamers to try and be first or one of the first to get a card. This is doubly true for some content creators.

I would still think it will be Pujols. I hate that as a Cardinals fan who has only finished the Live Series once. Shoot, I am probably screwed if he is the NL collection just due to Ohtani.

@Dolenz_PSN I really hope he’s not the full collection reward. It’s possible, but a 1B for that collection is rough. At least Babe could play a corner OF position and pitch.

I hope you are right. I want to use his 99 and if he is a Live series collection or even the NL collection then I most likely won't see a 2nd 99 until I am done with the game for the year.

If they use a "career" card for Pujols (HOF, Signature, Cornerstone), they could add LF and possibly even 3B as secondaries.

Looking through the previous live series rewards and recent big collections, it doesn’t seem like there are a ton of good options. I think it’s likely to be a new or returning legend. Pujols seems possible, but better for the NL reward IMO. ARod seems like the perfect fit if they bring him back. Bonds obviously, but I don’t think it will happen. Some other guys that could fit the bill are Hornsby and DiMaggio, but I’m not sure they have the name recognition with the younger crowd. As far as returning legends I’m thinking Rollins, Henderson, Piazza and Berkman.

Same goes for the AL NL rewards. Some new or returning legends that could fit are Ichiro, Kemp, Andruw Jones, Campanella and Felix. I’m thinking Campanella will likely be incorporated into the negro league stuff instead. Felix seems like a good bet for the AL reward. Some other returning legends that could fit here besides the guys I’ve already mentioned are Gwynn, Ozzie Smith and Varitek.

@Dolenz_PSN The NL is already going to be very expensive, so being the NL card makes the most sense to me.

I mean, it could happen. I pulled Ohtani the other day. Only Judge, JRam and Witt shy of getting live series done naturally (well a couple random commons/bronzed purchased)
