With the Cover out of the way, Let's start Speculating on the Lead Legend

I want Carl Crawford, James Shields, and Fernando Rodney. Also make Zobrist full time. Rays are hurting for legends. They did Longo dirty his last year.
Big legends though: Ichiro, Koufax (losing Kershaw so have to refill a Dodger anyways), I also hate ARoid, but let’s face it, it’s time.
Give me Nomar to go with Jeter. Give me Miguel Tejada and Eric Chavez. Jacoby Elsbury was always a favorite card. Early 2000s and 2010s need some more legends.

Eric Kiss
How about that whole hidden team in Triple Play Baseball?
-
@MarioMendoza935_XBL incoming…Albert Pujols Dodger legend.
I love throwing this out there but Pujols is my favorite player all time. And I think he’s a top 5 all time player, certainly top 5 all time hitter. Would love to see him back.
As for @savefarris_psn thread- I could see them bringing in ARod or Ichiro as the big reveal this year.
It’s gonna be hard to top last year where we got Manny, Teddy Ballgame, Clemens, Hank Greenberg, Steve Carlton and Gil Hodges among others.
I like Koufax, Yogi Berra or DiMaggio.

My guess for LS collections are:
MLB: RF Ichiro Suzuki (Sea)
NL: SP Josh Beckett (MIA)
AL: 2B Dustin Pedroia (BOS) -
If Pedroia comes back, he absolutely MUST be accompanied by Kevin Butler. This is not negotiable.

Those commercials were hilarious

New HOF Jeff Kent and Andruw Jones. And bring in Hideo Nomo and that windup that will annoy every person on DD.
-
@virusts_XBL it’s a funny thing about that…I came across his windup a few years back when I had created a pitcher in the ‘22 game - it had some benign moniker attached to it like “generic windup 43” or something similar. I couldn’t wait to pitch my first game with my seven foot, three hundred pound left hander! I thought his giant red afro would perfectly complement that Torpedo delivery and boy did it…..until about half a dozen pitches or so when I realized it was myself who was being annoyed and by the time I made it through the first half inning I found myself starting the top of each new inning by beaning the leadoff man just so I could pitch from the stretch lol

Need more 80s legends . Fred Lynn , Reggie Jackson , Dale Murphy , Vince Coleman, Steve Carlton , Dwight Gooden , Daryl Strawberry, Bo Jackson , Orel Hersheiser , Jack Morris
-
I'm not sure if any of these guys have ever been in the game (@savefarris_mlbts ), but here are some "2nd-tier legends" that I'd love to see:
Bill Madlock
Bill Buckner
Greg Luzinski
Bob Horner
Darrell Evans
Graig Nettles
Dwight Evans
Rocky Colavito
Gary Gaetti
Lee May
Ellis Burks
George Foster
Ron Santo
Jack Clark (1987 Finest, @dolenz_mlbts ???)
Boog Powell
Bobby Bonds (that would be a great troll job. Show "Bonds" on the back of a SF uniform, then slowly reveal his number...)
Mo Vaughn
Ron Cey
Fred Lynn
Reggie Smith
Brian Downing
George Scott -

I would not say no to Jack but there are a lot of Cardinal Legends who can handle 1B
McGwire
Pujols (when they add him back)
Musial (secondary)
Simmons (secondary)Jack Would get some playtime depending on when he was released and what my other options were.
I'd rather see
1985 Tom Herr
1985 Willie McGee
1985 John Tudor
2005 Chris Carpenter (Cy Young)The problem is neither hitter had power and neither pitcher were known for K's so they would get ignored by non-cardinal fans. Tudor in 1985 had a higher WAR than any 2025 pitcher and he threw 10 complete game shutouts that year
In 1985 The Cardinals had - are you ready for this - 5 of the top 11 MVP vote getters in the NL
- Willie McGee
- Tom Herr
- John Tudor
- Jack Clark
- Vince Coleman
