And four [censored] Allen cards all on the Phillies.
Maybe if you'd tone down your expletive-laden posts, SDS would take you seriously

Or a "2004 Postseason Astros" card for that matter. Actually, that card might be the best card ever. Probably too "overpowered"...
That was the last card during his active career. And yes, it was OVERPOWERED! It might have been 125 when everything was still max 99.

Its a simple marketing thing. guys like myself 48 years old are way outnumbered by a much younger generation. Alot of the MLBTS player base know but have no childhood memories of many of these players. Face it guys some of us are getting old, I grew up with Griffey, Johnson, Clemons. These kids are growing up with Trout, Ohtani, Cruz, Skenes. Of course they are going to market to the larger player base. I get it. Its the same argument of who's better Ohtani or Babe? Look at the age of each side. Whats the answer? If i'm running a business, i'm catering to the larger group of people. Mickey Mantle is a house hold name and so is Frank Sinatra...how many #1s did Sinatra have last year?

SDS was so close to having the big three from the late 80s and early 90s Giants (Will Clark, Matt Williams and Kevin Mitchell) and instead of getting the third guy, they lost rights to the other two... Now they are missing all three...
At the very least, we need Will Clark back....

And their cousins John Olerud, Keith Hernandez, and Mark Grace
But those player types are just not 'meta'. They had Kruk last year (aka Fat Lesser Will Clark), but he was 1 and done.
And Kevin Mitchell is an 86 Met, can't have that.
I think its hilarious that there is only one 86 Met in the game, but they released TWO cards this year of the 62 Mets

Al Kaline has a 99; wouldn't mind seeing some very classic players make appearances/combacks in the form of:
-Tris Speaker
-Walter Johnson
-Ty Cobb
-Rogers Hornsby
-Jimmie Foxx
-Nap Lajoie
-Christy Matthewson
-Roy Campanella
-Yogi Berra
-Yaz
-Reggie Jackson
-Frank Robinson -
Bo Jackson
Jose Canseco
Doc Gooden
Vince Coleman
Chris Sabo
Deion Sanders
Juan Gonzalez
Lenny Dykstra
Darryl Strawberry

@jonblaze2424_MLBTS I know I’m a bit late to the conversation, but I just thought I should add that the rights to Ichiro (at least for mobile games and for Japan) are held by Konami. This might explain why he has not been added to the game. I, as a Mariners fan, would love to see him in the game, but I’m not sure it’s going to happen.

Just want to remind everyone that we have no issue with criticism related to the game itself, as long as it's given respectfully and constructively, but personal digs at individual SDS team members or other forum members is unacceptable and will earn you a one-way ticket to Bantown.
Thanks and carry on!

I have no expectations as to who’s going to get added other than Andruw Jones and Jeff Kent. If they’re not in the game I might not buy next year to be honest.

I agree. But, it would be nice to also have some dialogue with so many wanting our early legends returned and new early legends added to the game. I would like to think the decision makers see how much of their consumer base expressly wants this, not to mention those that won’t input and will quit it and forget it. Baseball fans respect baseball history and there’s undoubtedly so many families that would simply love to see their loved ones remembered in a modern game. Hall of Famer Earle Combs for one- have you tried? I’m only one person, but I’m unquestionably one of many people who will not buy into next year’s game without expansion to our early legends. I also can’t believe I never got a 99 Duke Snider this year. I defended SDS last year and was very impressed to have Ted Williams, Gil Hodges, and Hank Goldberg in this year’s game. Those alone brought me back. Thank you for that and I hope to soon hear similar news for ‘26 to reel me in once again.

I would say the Negro Leagues have done a good job and getting some older players into the game, however the content hasnt properly supported them.
They should have their own team affinity and should have several rounds of cards. half those guys have a low diamond/gold and a 99 and nothing in between
I think they need to figure out how to make low power guys work as well. People will scream for Pete Rose, but his card should be Paul Molitor with less power and significantly worse base stealing ability. People will just stick with Ketel Marte.
