Cover Athlete Predictions

Just for fun, who do you think will make the cover for MLBTS26? My guesses:
Cal Raleigh - Seattle hasn’t had anyone since Jr. and Dumper broke some of his records this past year. Plus a bit of West Coast bias for SDS.
Aaron Judge - won 3 of last 4 AL MVP award (was on 2018 so I’m not betting on it, but we know SDS loves the Yankees
Kyle Schwarber - top 3 in most offensive stats and big for the Phillies resigning him
Wade Boggs - SDS loves the Chicken Man and he had #26 retired by the Red Sox. Haven’t had a retired player on the cover since Jr. and it makes sense for the year matching his jersey

I think its going to be Rafael Devers. The logo for the game is orange, so it is probably going to be a team whose main color is orange. Theres not really that many other exciting players on other orange teams, so I think he has a pretty good chance

Raleigh is definitely a possibility based on performance but quite a few teams have never had a cover so I don't think length of time since the last Seattle cover means anything.
The following teams have never had one in 20 years since the show debuted. If they were going to choose based on the below list (which I don't believe will be a factor) I could see it being someone like Nick Kurtz

Mets are mainly blue, not orange. Skubal is a pitcher, so I think it is unlikely they would pick him. I think Yordan is the only other candidate from a mainly orange team, but I think Devers is more likely. -

The Mets have more blue in it than orange, their uniforms have more blue, even your icon doesnt even orange. Its possible that it could be them, but I find it unlikely that the color would be orange if its Soto or Lindor -

Fair. But there’s a reason it’s “orange and blue” and not “blue and orange.” I see what you’re saying, though.
