Incase anyone is wondering this is likely SDS trying to keep the value down so if players don’t have Ohtani yet this should favor you so you can pick up the cards you might need.
On the contrary, to anyone who gets a duplicate Ohtani and wants to sell you are forced to wait or take a low price.

I don't play the market so maybe I am confused but I don't always buy all of the SDS conspiracy theories.

What benefit does it give SDS to manipulate the stub cost of this card making it cheaper. Aren't more expensive cards better for the bottom line as it may entice people to purchase stubs to get this card?

I wonder if the higher stubs costs of live series this year didn't have the reverse impact. Less people bought stubs because their value is absurdly low.

Of course, the whales likely made up the difference.

@Dolenz_PSN I don’t know about this card but SDS manipulates the market. Almost everyday around noon PST they will cancel all orders on diamond equipment over 15k stubs. I think it is to allow certain stub transfers.

Pretty sure they keep the price low by putting a 92+ LS card in the December Scouting Report.

Clearly, you haven't seen the pains of setting a buy or sell order. I swear, I've looked at a card stay stagnant for ten minutes, and as soon as I put in an order, it turns into a bidding war. Coincidence? I think not.

Yeah. I'll put in the order, then less than a second later it's outbid. Literally outbid as soon as I hit submit an order.

@Talkingben9558_XBL How so? It’s like clock work. So if I want to sell or give stubs to a friend all we have to do is log in at noon and flip back and forth because due to SDS cancelling all buy and sell orders at noon it is the guaranteed time of day for the widest margins. So how does it prevent transfers?

It’s typically the higher costing live series cards that will suddenly have 15-20 sell orders at an extreme discount. This is absolutely done on their end. For the guys and gals that don’t have these cards yet I’m happy but for the others that want to sell and make a profit if we bought a 50 bundle that sucks. It’s manipulation. They need to drastically lower the price of bundles if they do this.
But once again for the people who haven’t finished collections yet I’m happy for you

I wish I had the option of selling cards to certain people lol. For instance.. I have several Ian happs. I wish I could just sell one to one of you guys that doesn’t have him for like 200k instead of the inflated price. An option to do that as silly as that sounds would be dope.
I had multiple ohtanis at one point. And I understand this contradicts what I said above.
I rip 10-30 (50) pack bundles a day. I’ll keep doing it while I’m on the pot until I get a judge. I’ve open over 500 (50) pack bundles now to no avail

@Talkingben9558_XBL doing nothing would be better since what they are doing has adverse effect.

Deleting stub transfers once a day is better than never deleting stub transfers. How is this worse than doing nothing?

Welp not trying to change the subject but I’m willing to put money on it that no more than 20 people nationwide play the new mini seasons. Literally 0 reason to play it. I’m so sick off all the ultra packs. What’s yalls thoughts

    This.

And: Last year, I often had that kind of orders in to prevent me from going over 5M . I would set them „low enough“ to not get through tho … It could be that somebody forgot these many buy orders, because he does not care anymore

@YOSHI24_XBL I don’t think SDS manipulates this late in the season especially unless it’s for good cause. For instance and like I was stating above, I think they are manipulating the market right now to keep card prices lower in order to allow people to buy them. Lately there seems to be a bulk sell of Ohtani or judge or whomever it may be that’s expensive in order to drive cost downward since they kept trending upwards. I think SDS is trying to help the people who can’t afford those cards yet.

On a side note, I make millions of stubs just playing DQ on goat. SDS for sure will not implement DQ in upcoming years as it absolutely HAS to be a stub purchasing killer.
