The Silencing Continues / People Blindly Defending A Heavily Flawed Game

The topic I started, that was getting some positive traction until it was hijacked (again) by the usual suspects, has once again been locked. SDS is doing all they can to silence me. I'm not breaking any rules and while I hate to play the victim, there are a select few people on this board who are getting away with bullying/silencing myself and others who call the game on its flaws. Rather than talk about the subject at hand, the same people come in and get us off topic until a moderator locks the topic.
I laid out points which many people agreed with and no response to the contrary addressed any of the points I talked about, just came by to tell us we were full of it without explaining why. Then I did a little research. I found out the people who refuted me the hardest weren't even playing ranked seasons. Before I could respond to the 3rd guy, the topic was locked without warning. These people have too much power. Hijack the subjects they don't like and get it shut down. Then I have to create the topic all over again. So here's my response to @x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN .... because my threads deserve to be seen and talked about.
Would you like to tell us something, @x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN ?
Also, for those curious, here's his online sample info:
476 games vs the computer
276 battle royale games
0 ranked head to head gamesSo here's what I'll say. You have more credibility than the other two (though you seem to be telling us that you're also @fubar2k7_PSN ) however, Battle Royale is a 3-inning game and, along with events, plays differently than a proper 9 inning head to head match. The 3 inning game is obviously designed to get players in and out much quicker... so by design, pitchers have lower stamina ratings, which boosts hitting ratings. It's not really comparable to what myself and the other Head to Head people are talking about. In fact, I think if I played exclusively Battle Royale and Events, I might not be so angry with this game all the time. As it is, when I see things going on with the game that look like RNG and game scripting, it costs me a game I spent 30-60 minutes playing. If you have a game that doesn't go your way, it costs you what? 10-20 minutes?
I honestly can't believe the people that came at me and those who agree with me the hardest are also guys who don't even play ranked seasons. You're not experiencing it, so of course what I'm saying sounds outlandish.

Again you assume and your assumption is wrong.
- The User Profile associated with the ID on this forum, while is technically my account, its not used by me; when playing the game.
My son uses that GT.
I use a different GT when playing the game. I just post on this account because its easier than creating a new account.
And no; I'm not @fubar2k7_PSN
But thanks for the assumptions.

Gee, I wonder if there is a pattern here!
-
How many threads can this man create about the same thing?
-
It takes two sides sniping at each other to cause a topic to go off the rails enough to close it down. Just becuse you want to point the finger at the other side does not mean you don't also share the some of the blame.
It's a public forum. You can't control who else joins in on a thread. All you can control is how you react and respond to them.
-
@Dolenz_PSN I haven't been engaged in the last two or three or more topics of his. If you look at them, you won't see me in there. So, I'm not part of the pattern.

Never meant to imply that you were. My message was aimed at Squid_Adams since he started the threads.
-
@Dolenz_PSN My bad!
I know I have been a part of some of the back and forth in the past, but I have been taking a break from that lately.

I reached out before and my offer still stands, you seem to need a friendly avenue to vent, I’m all ears in DM.
The reason your last thread got shut down is most likely going to be the same reason this one gets shut down. SDS doesn’t like personal attacks, the listing of people’s profile records is borderline stalkerish and bullying. The records are widely known to be inaccurate, my profile shows no online ranked record, I can assure you, I’ve played online.
Learn to accept a common phrase, even if it’s not said out loud, “agree to disagree” and move on. This isn’t a contest, no one’s winning or losing. The forum is a nice way to vent, share some ideas, gain some insight, and play the game however you want, you are NOT going to gain any friends with the current approach.
Again, my offer still available and I wish you nothing but peace in your life, you aren’t getting it here currently.

You say this like it hasn't been the same 4 people on each of your posts agreeing with you
@Squid_Adams_MLBTS said in The Silencing Continues / People Blindly Defending A Heavily Flawed Game:

And no one is responding to any of your points because no one is reading them. You've made several 1,000+ word posts the last few weeks just rambling about [censored]. One of which, was that using the strike zone camera angle is basically cheating. Which is completely asinine and made any point you've made since not worthy of my eyeballs.
-
If I'm wrong on everything then why don't you fill everyone in on the real numbers? Surely you're at 100+ ranked seasons games.
Missed you, my boy! Your bad takes have become a tradition. I haven't attacked anybody since my first suspension. Wouldn't I have gotten suspended again if I were attacking people?
Another way to word that is "When will this guy just accept being silenced?"
I don't share the blame. Maybe initially, but not now. I've revamped the way I post and have been articulate and fair when I criticize this game. It's not just when something goes wrong. I have pointed out situations where I'm the one the RNG is rewarding. I have given examples both of my own experiences and real world data. The responses I receive aren't any of those things. And then come to find out many of them are not speaking from experience. You are correct with the last part of your post.
I appreciate you once again, but my only concern is the game getting fixed. I don't want to get into it with you, because you're incorrect with the "personal attacks" part. I ask once again, if I have been making personal attacks, where's my suspension? Me looking someone's online game stats up is not bullying, nor stalker-ish. You're diluting the meaning of those words. That information is easily accessible. What I was pointing out was the sample size of how much someone has played this game. I never even mentioned wins and losses. But hey, I got people who barely play telling me (someone who has played over 150 games of ranked head to head) that I don't know what I'm talking about. What does that make them?
I have changed the way I word my posts and replies. If you look at my interactions with people who give me well thought out and respectful replies, you'll see exactly who I am. Fact is, a lot of people are unhappy with this game. A lot of people were unhappy with Madden. If you don't articulate your grievances, how are things supposed to improve? A lot of these guys don't know it, but they're contributing to this game being Madden Baseball. I play this game a lot every time I buy it. I would be better off not buying it at all, save me time and irritation... but I like baseball, sue me. I play so much, I see re-occurring themes. So when I make the lists I make, it's backed up by experience and hundreds of hours of gameplay.
There were plenty of people who backed up what I was saying... so I'm not exactly isolated on this message board. But man, honestly, I do appreciate the meaning behind your post. You seem like a good dude overall. Your post wasn't perfect, definitely some things you were wrong about that needed addressed, but I still have a soft spot for you. Don't lose that good quality.
Plenty of people read my last post and agreed with it. Strikezone wasn't brought up either. Sorry about your aversion to reading. You're really missing out on the Harry Potter books.

You can change the wording of your posts, but that doesn't mean you are not "personally attacking" people in your posts. Pretty much everyone here is an adult and knows when people are being passive aggressive and "personally attacking" others in a more veiled manner. You don't fool anyone with that nonsense.
@Squid_Adams_MLBTS said in The Silencing Continues / People Blindly Defending A Heavily Flawed Game:

SDS is random in the ban selections. I don't know exactly why some get banned for their posts and others not. I don't really care what SDS's thoughts are on that as that doesn't really affect me. A few years ago, SDS banned darn near everyone in the forum for a week or a month or so to include someone that had only posted "lol". I forgot who that was, but they are still on this forum.
I can tell you one thing that is not random though. That is your posts getting locked. On this newly used MLBTS account, you have 2 of 3 topics locked (obviously this is the one that is not locked [yet]) and your other account (the PSN account) has 12 of 14 locked. I cannot tell you the last time anyone other than you had their topics locked, let alone more than 82% of their topics being locked. I can say with great certainty that SDS is not being random in just always locking your topics. You are the only one that doesn't get why you are the only one who gets their topics locked (if you truly don't understand). There are plenty of other "controversial" posts on here with some wild conspiracy theories, but they don't get locked up. There are other topics that include name-calling and other attacks on people that also don't get locked up. But, you are truly skilled at getting yours locked up. Congrats on that!
Back to your quote of "I have changed the way I word my posts and replies.", that reminds me of...
-
I don't need to fill anyone in on anything. I play to relax. I don't care how many of my so called P/Ps are hits or outs.
I don't even pay attention to that stuff.
I play the game to play the game. If I win, great. If I lose, I move on.
I don't let it stress me.
Video games are meant to relax you. If you're more concerned with who's using which settings and which hits were/weren't P/Ps; then this game isn't for you.
No matter what SDS does; people will complain.
-
The game is awful in comparison to 24. There is no way in 10 hells I will pay even 1/4 of retail for this game and probably will find a new MLB game. They didn't put on game pass because they knew what a disappointment it is/was. They have lost more brand goodwill on this one, I doubt they come back. Good riddance. I'm sick of paying for a new game when the old one was great and it's about profit. This just opens the market for new competitors.. The Show is old and stagnant. Time for it to die now and SDS to learn that lesson that only comes through huge financial loss and accountability for the devs. I hope they are proud of destroying a franchise.
-
My posts get locked because I respond to everyone. Then it looks like things are out of control. This is the first time you've provided me with any kind of data and lived experiences. It seems like the boards have a history of soft and inconsistent rule enforcement / banning players. I encourage you, keep an open mind and read the list I wrote up in the last thread. I think what I'm saying is plenty fair and deserving of a fair and articulate response... even if you still find yourself disagreeing with everything.
You play to relax, but frequent the boards? This seems like a place for hardcore players. And just because you don't care, doesn't mean other people don't. I would LOVE to be like you, where nothing matters and I accept any old thing. However, I'm not wired that way. I love baseball and often times I don't recognize it when I play The Show. To me, it feels like having no baseball at all. You probably won't understand where I'm coming from, as that's been a pretty consistent theme.
In fact, I haven't been playing College Football 26, because I can't get over how inflated and unrealistic my defensive stats are to everyone else in college football. Each year my DE breaks tackle for loss and sack records and wins all the awards associated with the position. Doesn't matter if I'm Ohio State or Coastal Carolina. It's a simple, simple thing, probably silly to a lot of people... but for me it hurts the immersion and darn near ruins the game.
Here's what it is: I've seen The Show be good. I've seen Madden be good. (That's been years, obviously) To be honest, until my friends insisted I get one, I was going to skip PS5 altogether. Sure, it might be more powerful... but what does it matter with lazy, greedy and unskilled game developers? So when I see the game's being bogged down by the simplest of things that weren't even issues in the PS2/PS3 days, it's really irritating to see. Your solution is to not care about anything, just like you do. It's like making an extrovert an introvert. I am not the only one thinking what I'm thinking nor am I the only one saying what I'm saying. It's NBA 2K too (and Madden... if I got into NHL, I'm sure it would be the same thing with them too) RNG and game scripting is a sports video game trend that needs to go away and never come back (unless it's NBA Jam)
People would swear I'm the only one saying these things lol.

Care to respond to any of the points made in the original thread? Do you disagree about every point? Even the part about wanting better graphics and more animations?

Wouldn't know if it was brought up. Not reading more than a line or 2 of whatever you're rambling topic for the day is. The first post I seen of yours was you complaining about people using different settings than you. That's all I need to know.
-
It evolved into giving players the option to avoid playing people using Strikezone. Willing and able to evolve. Open minded and almost excited to have my mind changed. But yourself and others haven't given me a lot to ruminate over.
Might I suggest only replying to me if you have something new to add? I'm well aware of your reading comprehension levels, you don't have to keep reminding me.

I agree on the Sleeve patches. They can use the same logo editor they use for jerseys and hats. But necessitating "blowing up the game"? Hardly.
Everything else was in the "I just lost a game I think I should have won and I need to vent" family.
