Witch hunt

I'm calling a witch hunt for the guy that has stopped jeter and Ichiro from being unanimous because we all know it was probably the same guy
-
Most definitely the same guy, he needs to come forward and explain why he didn't vote for Jeter or Ichrio
-
Ridiculous. Both are slam dunks, but especially Ichiro. I was gonna pump the brakes on Jeter, but he had a career BA of .310 with 3465 hits.
Guy is a FOOL.

Ever seen Jeter play defense?
99.7% of voters didn't.

In my view, the BBWAA should have had their privilege to vote for the BB HOF removed by MLB decades ago. The idea that a player who retired years past should age to be elected is nonsense. I can see making the first ballot HOF category special for only those at the very peak of performance -- the so-called Mount Rushmore kind of player.
However, starting with the second year of eligibility, the only reasons for players not being elected is due to the limit of how many players a single voter can cast votes for. That means, if a deserving player is left out, then we better be seeing the max number of players elected that year. Billy Wagner's merits didn't improve this year over the previous years, but he had to wait until his final season. Moreover, Brian McCann got so few votes that he didn't even remain eligible, and that's a crime! McCann is one of the best hitting catchers in baseball history.
But, yes, the notion that Henry Aaron was not unanimously elected was just one of many examples where the immortal greats are denied that clearly deserved level of recognition. The BBWAA is making all sorts of bad voting decisions, due to things entirely unrelated, such as a player's perceived personal political values.

Please. It's not the Hall of the Well-Rounded.
.310 with 3400 hits.
That's sufficient, defense or not.

I have better things to do than going after someone who stated his opinion and/or made an error … There are so many „errors“ of the period of time that are much worse … He is in and I am okay with Mariano being the only 100% guy
-
The next test will probably be Albert Pujols in 2028
It would be nice if this was just one guy in a bubble during this time period but it has been an issue for ages in my opinion
Babe Ruth 95.1%
Willie Mays 94.7%
Ted Williams 93.4%
Stan Musial 93.2% -
But, Andruw Jones is not in because these writers think despite having a better WAR than Ichiro Suzuki whom they nearly unanimously elected on the first ballot, has waited eight years. Jones is considered the best defensive center fielder in the history of baseball, and his run production with the bat was elite for over ten straight years.
There is no excuse for making a player like him wait.
And no, Mariano was NOT as good as players like Willie Mays, Henry Aaron, Ken Griffey Jr., and others. The only reason those greats didn't get in with a unanimous vote is because again some writers made a ridiculous decision that if Ty Cobb and Babe Ruth didn't get in with a unanimous vote, then no one would! That ignored these two getting in with the first class, which meant there was a huge number of initial candidates, making any unanimous selection practically impossible.

@PriorFir4383355_XBL I bet Mariano's 100% election was a mistake by the one or two of the voters. They forgot whose turn it was to omit.
