I still get a chuckle that people got upset that a program called "Moments of Glory" was made up of moments.
Taking moments out of the game would significantly reduce my enjoyment of the game. They are pretty much the first thing I do every content drop. Without them I don't finish nearly as many programs and probably get frustrated by the sheer number of PXP and Stat grinds with cards I have no desire to grind with and I would probably quit the game in April or May.

Where is the survey

You should've gotten an email

Wasn’t the program called MOMENTS of Glory? Seems like it’s the exact type of program to be full of moments…
-
2 homeruns in one game is extreme and shouldn't be in that program, 8 total bases twice in the that program is ridiculous. You and some other people may like moments but other people don't and by putting extreme moments in the moments of glory program is ridiculous

@sbchamps17_NSW
I didn’t get it -
@Coop27_MLBTS they can’t handle your truths!

Still haven’t got it. This is insane

I would imagine they don’t give the surveys to everyone. It’s a random sampling every time.

This. They also do it to try and cherrypick the responses. I didn't receive an email but I did the last survey about a month/two months ago and laid into them about the XP reduction, how they advertised "Play the way you want" but the way it was structured was definitely "Play the way you want as long as it's one of the ways we want you to play".
Tore into them about having so many non-sellables in order to shoehorn people towards Microtransactions for stubs.
Criticized the Sets and Seasons ( I know some of y'all liked it and there's nothing wrong with that, but you KNOW an overwhelming majority had to hate them for SDS to make a change )
Criticized how they removed the stat based missions for "offline" DD grinding. Used to be "Get so many hits in Online" or "Get [double the online amount] of hits vs CPU" in order to get certain rewards. It wasn't impossible to get the same rewards, they just made it a ton harder.
Also criticized the lack of updating to Stadium Creator

I thought a few of the ideas were good, and a couple so bad that I questioned why they were even being considered.

I was surprised not to get an invite. But my only real, albeit large, request is an overhaul to DD. It needs a complete change with a robust way to evolve over the course of the season to keep players excited and engaged. The principle of “you can’t please all the people all the time” applies, so there will never be a consensus. However a radical shift, if interesting and entertaining, would at least get people interested again and create excitement from week to week. Adding many legends is needed, but if it’s wrapped into the same game that presently exists then that will wear out quickly. As cool as it would be to have Bo, Clemens, Ichiro, A-Rod, Bonds, etc. - using them in conquest and ranked willl feel the exact same and interest will dwindle in weeks. I’m actually surprised that the survey is out so late, I imagine ‘25 should be wrapping up production on the guts of the game at this point but who knows. Anyway, I write because I care and don’t want to continue to lose interest in The Show and have no outlet to get my mind off of life for a few hours here and there. Hoping that the new game breathes life into the franchise.

I do think that while stub sales was a goal, sets and seasons was also an attempt to shake things up, at least with the early 99s in 2023 and the repeating powercreep of 2024.
Also the TA structure this year was a change, but I personally preferred the bigger but grindier versions of the past. It was just too many iterations of it this year, and other than the one time they put some s1 packs in there the rewards were not exciting.
I personally loved 2023 but thought 2024 was a leap backward, but then I like grindy offline content. I just wish they would learn how to better make things optional. No one should have to grind the amount the first half of 2023 asked for to simply keep up, but the option should be there for those who want it.
-
That’s actually a great point. I didn’t look at sets and seasons that way.
I hated 2023 mostly for the nickname and monster cards which to me took away from the sim feel and made it feel arcade style and gimmicky. Sets and seasons made it too easy to just walk away from the game. Am I asking to get addicted again? Maybe and that’s probably not a great ask, but I do want to look forward to something fun, challenging, and new consistently throughout the year to feel like I’m building my team.

I actually really liked the Incognito cards, they just used too many obscure players weekend names. I still want them to drop a Polar Bear, The Kid, and Flying Squirrel for the Mets. Perhaps they coould have done better to tie the cards to a specific season so the attributes were less arbitrary feeling?
I didn't like snapshot though, and this year's OoP was my least favorite set by far. I hate that the Mets got an OoP for their Santana card.

Making the showdown mandatory for the Halloweek program really put a damper on the game for me. I keep hoping they'll revise it for Christmas. And I also agree with the Extreme level of some of the moments in the Moments of Glory program (which should have been called the Moments of Awful - I'd use another word but it would get censored).

I’ll take moments any day over the pre moments way things used to be. Daniel Nava mission from 2018 still gives me nightmares. At least with moments you don’t have to play out the full game to try and get your stats only to come up 1 double short in the 9th inning.

@Jeff7407_PSN I've secretly been hoping that this made a "moments rewind" return just so those who never did it could experience the pain.

There were a few of those missions that were painful. The Joe Torre doubles comes to mind as well but nothing has ever approached that Nava moment.
A rerelease, even in moments form, would cause more than a few of the residents here to completely lose their minds.
