Will we ever see Joe DiMaggio in the game? He’s the only Yankee legend not to appear besides players like Maris and cone and Clemens and Arod.

I'm all for Maris if we can dump some of the marginal yankees legends that they always include.

    And Ruffing.
    And Randolph.
    And Lazerri.
    And Munsen.
    And Nettles.
    And Wells.

Other than that, DiMaggio is the ONLY ONE.

The good news is that if and when DiMaggio ever arrives, you'll know almost immediately. He's one of those legends they'd announce in the opening teaser, like Babe, Mays, Rivera, Clemente, and Randy of yore.

And which Yankees legend should be dropped if one of those new guys are brought into the game? It was posted here the other day that the Yankees have more legends in the game than any other team. Add another? The odds are good that they'd drop one. So which one?

They dont have to drop any. Just dont give so many multiples of the same players. People make too big a deal about the amount of cards the Yankees have without considering the reasons why.

    1. They have 9 postseason cards. If their team made the WS, the Yankees would have 9 less and their team would have 9 more.

    2. Jeter storyline gave us 9 golds and 3 low end diamonds that no one used past TA chapter 1

    3. More cards means more cards for the same people. Guaranteed the Yankees have more dupes than any other team. 4 Jeters, 4 Judge, 3 Soto, 3 Gehrig, 3 Bernie, 4 Riveras, 3 Sorianos, 2 Millers etc

Adding something doesnt mean they need to subtract something else and i cant believe anyone in this forum would actually suggest that.

And I can't believe anyone in this forum would be surprised that would be suggested. This isn't a Yankees game. It's an MLB game.

No way. All this time, i didnt realize any other team had flashback/legend cards.

And the Yankees have about 20% of the rings. Look, I’ll put my Yankee hate up against anybody’s, but I still recognize their impact on MLB history.

"This isn't a Yankee game. It's an MLB game."

    LOVE this comment.

But I'll add that the Yankees have won about 4% of WS this century.

And there's a different team that's won about 16% of WS this century that continuously gets shafted by SDS every year.

I still can't believe they didn't even acknowledge the 20th anniversary of the 2004 postseason.

I'll admit the Yankees should have the most legends, especially older ones. But teams like the Dodgers, Red Sox, Cardinals, Giants and maybe a few more should be CLOSE behind.

Would LOVE to have Yogi Berra back!

One of the top clutch players in MLB history!
