I may pop back in for the Finest program and to take a look at what is in store for Season 4, but I think it's more likely that I'm going to tap out on MLB:TS 2024. I started Hogwarts: Legacy a few days ago (so far it's pretty great if you're an 'Arry Po'uh fan), and I've got Spider-Man: Miles Morales waiting on deck.
I am in the same boat but just with different games. I am a big fan of both those games, but I will warn you that if you are one of those people who can't leave any map marker un-explored then Hogwarts is a very long game. I really enjoyed it though and played it twice.
For me, I am currently invested in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. I am trying to get it done before Rise of the Golden Idol on the 12th and MS Flight Sim 2024 on the 19th.
Then later we have the Indiana Jones game and Path of Exile 2.

Holy cow I didn't even know there was an Indiana Jones game on the horizon, but I just looked it up and that looks fantastic. I will probably have to jump into that at some point, too.
I'm a big HP fan so I will probably love living in this world as long as possible. I linked the game with my HP account so it put me in Ravenclaw, but I can already tell I'm going to want to play again in different houses so I can explore the non-Gryffindor common rooms.
I usually have time for about 2 games in the offseason. I played Spider-man 2 and Horizon: Forbidden West last year between MLB cycles, and both of those were great. I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to video games. I grew up in the 90s on the SNES, so all of today's games already blow my mind.

having played it twice in two different houses, I can safely say there is no reason for a complete new playthrough just to see the common rooms. You pretty much see all that they have to offer on the first day.

Playing Final Fantasy Crisis Core Reunion when I'm needing a change of pace. On my Second Go Round of Hogwarts Legacy. This time as a Gryffindor. 1st was a Ravenclaw...and I screwed up my first time and didn't get Avada Kedavra so gotta make sure to pick that spell up. Also gotta finish up Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Only made it through a few Chapters before The Show dropped this year.

Do you not hit well with Acuna? He's objectively attribute-wise the best card in the game.
I don't really care a ton about that. I won't move mantle/trout out of the lineup. Then I'm kind've platooning carroll/soto/aaron in RF...plus I'd like to use bellinger but haven't even used him yet, ditto with betts
I have soto and carroll in my big fantasy dynasty league so I like to use them because I watch them a lot

i say this daily, then they release something new...and i have to have it....lol. I might not use it...but i have to have it.

I'm a seasonal player: once the WS is over, I usually don't play ball again until Spring Training.
Been digging the hell out of Space Marine 2 and the Dead Space remake. Better to shoot and chop [censored] up then try and grind away at Programs right now.
But, to each their own.

Once again, I learn something new. I didn't even know about Space Marine 2. I used to paint WH40K figures obsessively (even had a YouTube channel about it), but I kinda fell out of the hobby. Wouldn't mind playing the game this offseason though!

I'm looking for something to play this off-season. Any 2-player games that would be interesting to play with my better-half? I try to get her to play co-op, but, nooooo.

If I drop this game in the winter, I'll go back to my standby, which is Train Sim World. I bought v.5 a couple of months ago, but haven't played it much yet.

I got TSW5 for free. I was able to keep routes I already had like East Coastway and LIRR. A couple of others as well!

I find nhl 24 mindlessly fun

I want to play Dragon Age.....i really do, but they have let me down so many times before.

@LIONED-33_XBL Can't get on board with what I've seen so far regarding DAVG.
I love old BioWare, esp. KOTOR, ME 1, DAO, and Jade Empire (best theme song of all time, amazing writing/dialogue).
Apparently there's no real choice in DAVG -- can't be renegade/evil, it's all flowers and rainbows.
So I'm replaying DAO for the first time in years.

It is definitely an action RPG now and not the turn based combat of the older games you mentioned.
There is not really a choice to be bad but I never go that route anyway so I don't really mind. I am really enjoying the game quite a bit. It is not perfect but it's been fun. There has been at least one choice that made a difference in the short term but I doubt it has any on the ending.

@ref479ode_PSN
Do you not have 25 yet -
I like Edman too (offline) but he hasn't been the greatest online.
And yeah I was just pointing out how incredible Acuna is attribute-wise, but attributes aren't everything.
For example, the 99 Mantle is obviously great, but he didn't even make my team for the latest Event. I'm terrible with his cards.
It's all personal preference.
-
@Dolenz_PSN If you've never gone full renegade in ME 1 and 2, you're missing out. It's hilarious.

I have started out runs of RPGs before intending to do an evil run and I always end up not going that route when it comes down to the choices.
It will be interesting to see if this game can pull me back in for the new season. It releases only 3 days after MS Flight Sim 2024. If that program runs even decently on my Series X and PC then it will be tough.
