I have earned every available reward that dropped with Easter, grinded out 50 packs from mini seasons and wasted stubs on a 50 bundle and am still 23 jelly beans short of the pack exchange…

How long do we have to get there? I am sick of mini seasons and I don’t want to burn more stubs on awful packs.

@lckdb You can buy the Spring Chickens choice pack for 40K vs. buying a 50 bundle for 75K and trying to get jellybean vouchers.

    Just an option.

@BJDUBBYAH I was hoping I would pull at least one diamond to defray the cost (LoL I even got a gold in the Chase pack).

I just don’t want to end up with worthless jelly beans since they don’t have a quicksell value. Seems like a poorly thought out promotion since so many people will come up short of 115 jelly bean vouchers.

I do not mind the jelly beans thing but 100 -- really --

I know some are going to say grind for packs via Mini seasons etc but 100 seems like too many

I am not sure what I would have made it but 50 is a good starting point and could be convinced to go a little higher. I am thinking max at like 75 but ideal is 60 to 65 but all I know is 100 kind of feels like they are trying to be greedy. However I will admit I am not happy with SDS right now so might be influenced by that so whatever.

@blitz77tw I have been working on mini seasons method, but I’m discouraged by the math:

I’m pulling a jelly bean in about 1 out of 3 packs opened. You can earn 10 packs for hitting 20 home runs on veteran in mini seasons (takes me 2-3 games). I started out short about 50 jelly beans after I had exhausted all other sources. So that means I needed about 150 packs to open to finish the exchange. That is 300 mini seasons home runs across around 50 games, plus 15 season restarts and lineup rebuilds.

This is what drove me to the pack store. I’m trying to be patient but the game already feels like a part time job…

Driving you to the pack store is exactly what they are doing.. 100 jelly beans, c'mon man. I hope this doesn't last long, the jelly bean waisting a spot in a pack opening limiting potential player, equipment or other unlockable pulls.

Instead of buying a 50 bundle, why didnt you just buy the 40k pakc?

@lckdb exactly. I did the same thing. Earned probably 150 packs this weekend and had around 70 jelly beans. Of course the store is right there, cmon just buy a 50 bundle and finish the jelly beans while also potentially getting some diamond pulls.

It's shady candy crush blizzard bs. It's like in Madden, the currency bundle gives you 2050 currency, and the packs cost 1200. You will always have left over currency so you are always a small sum of money away from getting a new pack. Just $10, cmon.

This game has went full wallet chaser and it sucks. Xp cap, bosses no sell, quick sales lowered again, the list continues.

What happens when the jelly beans are gone and people are sitting at 90? Are they just SOL?

@chucky97___ it’s what go4stros said. For 75k I got a 50 bundle and thought I would get close to the 40k pack as well.

Unfortunately my packs were garbage and all I got was 15 vouchers and six golds…

@lckdb that's how they get you my friend. Again, I've been playing the show for almost 10 years. So far this is the most hungry year imo.

They have made changes every year for the past few games so that we all don't freak out to hard, but they are pushing this game little by little towards madden. Every year they have less content, they lower quicksells, they make more cards no sell, they put out more and more time limited packs, the xp cap gets worse to begin each game. What's next?

They think if they do things like madden and 2k then they will make more money. Wrong. Baseball isn't as popular as basketball and football. Baseball fans, or the show fans, aren't like madden and 2k fans. They know they can't just change the game because people wouldn't fall for it. They have to change the tradition of the game. Little by little.

To be clear tho. It's not the devs. It's never the devs. It's always the suits.

Except for the subset of players that will never acknowledge that SDS has changed (not for the better).

A lot of the changes this year are not subtle, they are very much "Because F*** You, that's why". Slashing gameplay xp in half and then capping it? That's about as blatant as it gets.

    @go4stros25

Yes, this is exactly what I have been seeing.

It's awful, because DD had been head and shoulders better than all other UT modes, now they are just like every one else.

I think I am halfway to the pack, will easily need the rest of this week grinding for packs to even have a shot at 100.

@lckdb user error, you should have bought the 40k Spring pack, sell what you got base round still went about 30k then buy 2 20 packs for 60k.

@nflman2033 we got 30 free 89's and many more free cards along the way, they can't make every card free, plus those the base round cards have been better then the rare round, the 89 Ottavino is head and shoulders better than any rare round card. DD is still far ahead of other UT modes, Good pack cards give packs value, in the past years ripping packs meant nothing.

I'm not defending them but the slashed XP and Cap were put in place to limit the infusion of 99 overall players into the game.

    Why?

Because a subset of the players last year complained that early 99 cards ruined the game for them. SDS listened to them and what we have this year is the their answer to the problem. Is it a good answer? That is another question.
