OHTANI SHOULD BE DONE

PETE ROSE GOT BANNED FROM THE MLB THEN OHTANI SHOULD BE RIGHT THERE WITH HIM. THE DIFFERENCE IS THAT OHTANI IS THE FACE OF BASEBALL AND THEY WILL PROTECT HIN WITH THERE LIFE.
-
depends on what they find. If they find out he betted on games then he will be in big trouble.

There was no betting on baseball in this incident. So far, Ohtani is only accused of wire transferring funds to cover his translator's gambling debts, which were not on baseball. But, even then, the story changed to say that his translator stole the money from Ohtani (because the wire transfer was illegal).
We'll see what happens when it's investigated and all shakes out, but at this point, being banned from baseball is a bit drastic.

Honestly if MLB wants to provide the best optics at this point they should do a thorough investigation and ask Ohtani to agree to a voluntary suspension until the matter is settled. The 'story' keeps changing so they have to get a handle on it quickly and be fully transparent about their findings.
But it's the MLB, so they'll find a way to completely muck it up.

Nothings been proven.

I've got zero sources to state any fact. BUT it is known both the FBI and IRS are now investigating Ohtani...there's a growing rumour that he either bet on baseball through the bookie and thought he wouldn't get caught...and did and his "interpreter" is falling on the sword for him. OR that he was somehow involved in laundering money. There's one large elephant in the room question that he's dodged at every turn: How do you NOT notice that amount of money leaving your personal account that frequently? He's either got the absolute worst bank/accountant ever, or he told his interpreter to take the fall, and there will be a few sheets waiting for him when he's out of prison. Either way, this doesn't look good for Ohtani.

If nothing else it’s a good lesson on why not to let your best friend with a gambling addiction manage your finances for you while you focus on baseball lol

This.
"Innocent until proven guilty" is still a thing. But if/when the proof comes, he needs to be donezo.
-
Just love the guilty until proven innocent mentality, especially from people who don't know all the facts.

I have heard about that; did he gamble?
