Looks like they’ve wrapped it up early again

With season 6 on the calendar and no mention of another TA along with WS rewards such as Johnny Damon and Vinny Castilla, it appears SDS is closing up shop for the holidays and hopefully MLBTS 24 will be a palette cleanser. And maybe we will get a Willie Mays worth using as well.
-
I'm seeing guys with LS bronze cards who have 99 Finest cards. Everybody is Willie Mays these days. Kerry Carpenter is Babe Ruth.
BOOM-ShAKA-LaKa
-
I don't know why that would surprise anyone. SDS got the suckers to pay for early access and they made so much money they didn't bother to fix anything, let alone end of year content.
As long as people keep paying for incomplete games that's all SDS will give us.
-
Issuing undeserving cards doesn’t make the game incomplete just like your comment doesn’t make you a birdbrain.

i agree buddy - first time in 8 years i won't be pre-ordering for 2024 - i hardly played the game this year and i prefer to think of this game with the great memories of 2017

@Blind_Bleeder I like playing BR, but for Chili Davis or Ryan Braun in December... pass.

Seeing that tweet name dropping Ryan Braun gave me a chuckle lol but your mention of Chili Davis gave me a belly laugh. Haha
Chili dawg and tater tots today all we need is a cherry lime aid and we’ll have a sonic combo

I betting on a Willie Mays card on Friday when we get a new program with seven more Retro finest cards. The schedule even has ?????? ???? as a clue.
I do understand their need for content to slow down as they have to, at some point, start planning for next years content. As much as some of us feel like they are pulling names from a hat and had very little planning for this season it probably takes longer than we think to start planning a whole seasons worth of content.
And I want them to plan it out well because this season seemed haphazard. I want them to find a way to balance large and small markets and give fans of every team reasons to keep playing. It seems insane to me that Marte and Carrol combined for Arizona have more 99 cards than the entire Royals team.
I want them to not completely front load the first two seasons with teams best 99s only to have us suffer through July and Aug with lesser teams and players.
I don't need multiple 99s for the same player on the same team. I want multiple 99s for guys who have deserved them for multiple teams. Bryce should have a 99 Nationals and a 99 Phillies before Ketel Marte gets 3 cards. Verlander needs both a 99 Detroit and a 99 Houston card before Kyle Schwaber gets 3 cards. This is even more important if you are going to try and keep pushing Theme Teams and captains.
Why doesn't Judge, Goldschmidt, Verlander or Alcantara have an award card for last year?
I want the incognito program to disappear if they can't figure out how to make
those cards searchable based on the actual name. I'm a Cardinals fan and even I had no idea Lou Brock was "The Franchise"Speaking of Lou Brock, let's give hall of famers their due. Junior Caminero played 7 games for the Rays after being called up, batted .235, and got a 97 Topps Now card which, other than his speed attribute, is better than Lou Brock's best card, also a 97. Brock had 3,000 hits and a .293 lifetime batting average and has lesser hitting stats than a September call-up.
Sorry, I kind of went on a rant there.

@Dolenz
They're just making stuff up at this point. I'm like who is the Commerce Comet? That's never been a Mantle nickname.
It's turning into cartoony comic book territory. It won't be long before you'll be able to build a wall Fortnite style before your opponents home run goes over the fence.

His nicknames included The Mick, The Commerce Comet, and Muscles. "The Commerce Comet" is a reference to Mantle's days spent working in the coal mines of Commerce, Oklahoma. As a result of this work, Mantle grew incredibly strong, which led to the nickname "Muscles".
What are you talking about??

They packed it in real early last year and look at the polished and well planned out product '23 turned out to be.
Right?
(crickets)

@Dolenz
They definitely need to either do away with the Topps Now cards or limit them to Golds. Call Ups don't need a Diamond...that's what Prospect/Future Star cards are for. Save the big special moments for those Mid Range diamonds.
-
@GixxerRyder750 Never heard that nickname for him. The guy was an alcoholic too. Heard that's how we got Mickey's wide mouth

Wondering if you are an SDS employee or fanboy? You rip anyone to shreds for daring to call out this company for their weak efforts. -

Turning the game into fantasy baseball first over real baseball “ruined” the game but they won’t change that because that’s where they make money. Some of us don’t lack common sense.

Oh wait! They added Newhouser!
Hard, hard pass....
@SaveFarris_PSN might remember - last year, wasn't the big Mike Trout Finest released as part of BR late last year? I mean... that was worth playing for.
