How is Arraez not a Diamond?

Just based on his attributes.
Lack of power (38 and 27)
Average rating in Discipline (60)
Bronze fielding at a position where fielding is weighted a little more
Slow. It'll be interesting to see if his fielding and speed get any adjustments whenever they do their once a season update of those stats.

His OAA is -7 so any adjustments to defense would be an adjustment down.

As far as hitting .400 do you guys think he’s gonna do it this year? I honestly do not, however I would be very, VERY pleased if he did…but I just think he won’t. It’s the pressure that is so crushing that concerns me because press are relentless and now they’re so much more to contend with besides just the news media. Just thinking about it

He is currently 12 points below .400 and the deeper into the season we get the harder it becomes to raise it.

I agree. I don’t even think he’ll hit .350 by the time the season is over.

Law of averages says it’ll drop. But I wouldn’t be surprised if he flirts with .350 all year though, which is still impressive in its own right.

Incredibly impressive indeed

Carew, Brett, Gwynn who all flirted with hitting .400 were still playing in a time when the starting pitchers role was to finish the game. Now with the specialized bullpen arms that come in after the starter goes through the lineup twice, no one will ever hit .400 through a full season. Bullpen arms come in throwing 100 and two to three of them finish the game. Plus the pressure of the press. If he can hit .350 in today's game, that is almost the new .400

Because he's the best contact hitter in the game.
And then average to below average in literally everything else.

Very well stated @Texas10pt_MLBTS my friend. I agree with you although I wish it weren’t so. This brings up another point - inversely speaking…how many stolen bases to you think Brock, Coleman, and especially Rickey H would’ve gotten if they got to play under the new rules? People made such a fuss about Maris getting a few more games than Ruth but my question is how long until we see Henderson leading a campaign to put an asterisk beside any new SB records…his competitiveness is legendary he doesn’t even like to see his costumed ‘Little Ricky’ mascot character lose a race hahaha

There are several records that will never be broken and Ricky's stolen bases are one of them. Even with the bag 3" bigger in diameter.

It’s the “only two pickoff attempts allowed“ per baserunner that gives them such an enormous edge. Most are over halfway there before the pitch is ever released. Man I sure wish these cpu pitchers would get the idea haha
