PS4 Hard drive works with ps5 ??

i have a ps4 and want the ps5

i have a 4 TB external hard drive from Seagate

I have aprox 70 games saved to my external hard drive.

I am curious if i buy a ps5 will i be able to plug and play everything or will it not work with the ps5.

Granted all games are ps4 only so ideally and ps5 games can go to the ps5 hard drive itself.

I plugged my PS4 external up to the PS5 when I got it and I don't remember needing to re-install anything.

I upgraded from a PS4 to PS5 at launch and did the same thing. It's plug and play. You can also use it as cold storage for PS5 games. You just can't play PS5 games directly off the external and would need to transfer them back.

You will be able to play 99% of PS4 games off of the external hard drive on the PS5 I have wd passport and it works flawlessly with the PS5

not reinstalling, just making sure i plug my hard drive into the usb port and it should work, and the only ps5 game i want to use is the show.. so thats go to ps5 hard drive...
