Core cards aren’t useless. I play a lot of TA and most of these players are flashbacks on teams so I won’t have to waste a wild card on them later down the line. Most set cards to me will be the ones that literally become useless when new sets arrive

I'm sure he just means they are useless to anyone who plays Online. And he's basically right.
When you flood the mode with all these overpowered cards so early...these 92's and 94's are going to be looked at by 95% of the player base as USELESS.

By the time you are doing all of that with a wildcard in season whatever there will be far better cards that you could choose to earn and far better players to earn it with..
These cards are useful for people who start the game 6 months later. In years passed it was impossible for them to unlock anything from the early programs. Now they have a way to allow someone who starts playing in August to earn the cards from July. They aren’t hidden gems for 3 months down the road. Any Topps now from season 3 will be better than these and will also be flashbacks.
They need to ad some captains to make these cards a bit more fun. I’m confused why they don’t have a “captain” for each nation of the WBC and national theme teams. I don’t even know what they were thinking, some simple concepts seem completely untouched. They went with catcher secondary Captain over a Dominican Captain?

There won't be "far better" cards in the following seasons. There will be cards that are as good, but not "far better". Also, these collection cards being used as a wild card is more of wanting to play with a certain card rather than always trying to have the most "meta" god squad. I think there will be many who will use the wild card slot for either Chipper or the Babe because they want to play with that card for several months even though there may be better or equivalent card in the future seasons.

That is nothing new. Maybe it started sooner this year but people have always complained about certain diamonds being useless.

It's April 28th. Wild card won't even be part of the game until July 7th. You're acting like this stuff matters.
