Let's make 2023 the Father's Day Edition:
Along the same lines... Pat Mahomes' father... Pat Mahomes.
-
Probably won’t get everyone excited but my top 2 would be David Wright and Johan Santana.
-
Any starting pitcher for the Pirates lol

I still hold a grudge against Johan Santana, that was a painful no hitter to watch

El Tiante would be Cueto X 10
If they added special windups he would be the most fun pitcher.Think Fernando/Cueto hybrid.
I would like to see Lou Whitaker as well but in todays homer or bust baseball he would be very underwhelming in a video game.
-
Negro League players, Ty Cobb and Hornsby, and some lefty relievers
-
Negro Leagues stars (especially Gibson). Speaking of Gibson, they desperately need some more catchers. Fisk, Yogi, Roy Campanella, Mickey Cochrane, Thurman Munson, and Ted Simmons would be awesome. And we just lost Buster Posey AND Yadi, so we’re really hurting for catchers. My end game catcher is usually a 1B. In 2023, no more Foxxes in the hen house!
-
Hank Greenberg. Generally dont see his name pop up on these lists but it would be like having another Jimmie Foxx in your lineup.
-
Joe Charboneau (RoY version)
Ted Simmons
Don Wilson
Doc Ellis
George Sisler
Dizzy Dean -
Bo Jackson and Dustin Pedroia

Yes, would love to see former Minnesota Twins great Johan Santana.
-
Frank Robinson. He would be a monster in the game.

Good call. One of the most underrated players. He’s inner circle easily.
-
They need Kevin Brown

He is underrated. I don’t know why his name never comes up.
You could make an argument he is at least in top ten or twenty players of all time. -
Daryl Strawberry
Dwight Doc Gooden
Bernie Williams
Deion Sanders (Yankee)
Bo Jackson (Royals) -
Paul O'Neill and Bernie Williams. Need a Paul O'Neill kick animation.

That's how Oneil Cruz got his name

Bernie Williams is the player I have always wanted most. One of my favorites growing up and he hasn't been in a video game since the very first Show back in 2006 so he's long overdue.
I know he didn't have a good arm, but hard to beat a switch-hitting CF with good pop, solid defense and some speed. He'd never leave my team. Mantle can move over to left or right.
Paul would be great as well. I'll take anyone from the 96-00 dynasty run. Just a shame they no longer have guys like Orlando Hernandez or Tino Martinez under contract anymore. El Duque was fun to pitch with because of his funky delivery. I was probably the only one who used him, but they dogged Tino. His debut card in 20 was super underwhelming and even the HRD card they released later that year got totally screwed on power and especially defense. Last year I think they only released an 85 card from his days on the Mariners. Was hoping for a Silver Slugger or Milestone card from his 1997 season. Tino was an absolute beast that year.
