I have a funny feeling SDS will keep it in next year.
At least in DD. It would mean more offense, right.? That's why I think they'll keep it to nerf offense, especially offline. -
I think it will be in, it was announced early enough in the cycle .
-
It isnt gonna be that much different anyways. The 2nd or SS now just has to stay near 2nd base bag instead of a few feet past it, and the other has to stay on the edge of IF dirt/grass instead of in shallow RF.

You are correct. Think of it as an imaginary line and the shortstop or second basemen will be as close to it as legally possible. The biggest change will be having the second baseman on the dirt.

Of course it will be in the game still. As will pitchers hitting. Strongly doubt the new pitch clock will be in the game either.
All of these changes would require some significant updating to the game.

Nah, we going full DH next season... I can feel it... there is zero reason to still have the pitchers hitting if they are no longer hitting IRL... I feel like they have had enough lead time to make that change.

How long has that been in effect in real life where pitchers don’t hit no more?

It has been an entire MLB season.
-
I will be frustrated with the game if there is no DH next year
-
Haha! I bet you’ll be frustrated even if there is a DH!

sure it is, those hard hit grounders and liners will get through with the 2b in on the dirt, but that's the only real change regarding hit possibility

Only if it's hit far enough to one side of them
-
In regard to the DH I can tell ya this, if the DH isn’t in the game I won’t buy it. I’m sure there will be others that won’t as well.

the linerrs will get over their heads now, the groundersnbetween 1B and 2B will depend on the alignment for sure

I know they didn't hit in 2020 but I think this was the first official year that the DH was Universal... I know you can set Franchise to this rule but I think that has always been the case... I'd hope that the devs have figured something out since the announcement this season or are actively trying to get this in Diamond Dynasty for The Show 23... I feel like it'll make things more interesting next year as you won't have to pull your pitcher for a pinch hitter sooner than you would have liked and you get an extra bat in the lineup... worse case scenario the DH would 100% have to be in The Show 24 but I'm confident we'll see this in 23.
