I got him today and tried him out and all I have to say is he’s cracked. 125 power vs both sides and a smooth swing kinda like Cano. If u don’t have him you should get him. Highly recommend. Have a few home runs with him already. The first at bat I hit one that still hasn’t landed.

I have over 1 Million stubs for the first time this year so I jumped and spent 75k to get him, this looks like the best Jim Edmonds we have every gotten and his swing is one of the best in the game.

He’s so good. I hit another home run right after I posted this a couple minutes ago. My only knock on this card is I don’t think he’s fast enough to play CF. That’s ok though because he had high defense stats to play a corner outfield or 1B.

If this is headliner number 49 then what will number 50 on friday look like/be.

I don’t know but Hoffman was good too. I’m hoping for maybe a good Lou Brock. Or why not finish off the future stars for the year with an Adley Rutschman card. They gave one to O’Neil Cruz and Corbin Carroll. Where Adley? That might be only catcher to knock Posada out of there for me.

Agreed, i've been waiting for him all year but he may get a special card if he wins Rookie of the Year. His 99 last year never left my lineup. I would love to see a 99 Rob Dibble but he may be part of part 2 the Juicy packs.

I think J-Rod, even on the 10-day IL for most of the remaining games, will still be MLB's AL RoY winner. Yesterday he was named Baseball America's 2022 RoY. Whoever Baseball America has selected has won their respective league's RoY award 10 out of the last 11. Vegas Odds have J-Rod at -4,000 and Adley at +1,200. J-Rod has more games, more PAs and still leads Adley in 3Bs, HRs, RBIs, SBs, BA, SLG, OPS, OPS+, and TBs to the point that Adley most likely can't catch him in any of those categories even with J-Rod on the bench. Adley only has more 2Bs (32 compared to 24) and OBP (.361 over .342). So, I highly doubt Adley will get AL RoY!

J Rod definitely deserves ROTY. There’s no question about it. He was the first rookie with 25/35 I think. He’s not only one of the best rookie he’s also one of the best players. Period With that being said I still think Adley shined in his rookie year. Gunnar too. Can you tell I’m a Os fan?

Can someone compare this finest edmonds in RF

    TO.

    PRIME walker

    And HRD Soto??

If you’re comparing Jim to Larry in right then Larry is better in almost every category besides power.
Now compared to Soto,Jim might be a bit better by stats but Soto does have a great swing too and the liver series quirks. Jim will definitely play better defense. It’s all preference. .

Not taking anything away from J rod but I think Adley is one of the best catchers in the game. Hitting, throwing, framing, running, and great at pitch calling. He’s a big part of why the Os pitching got hot for a while.

I know you weren't! The M's losing to all these teams is frustrating and they can't just put away the O's and are letting them stick around in the hunt for the last wild card spot. The M's should have ran away with the top wild card spot, but they are having their late September melt down. This third playoff spot may save them from a yet another year on their playoff-less streak!

Sorry but he will never see my lineup or even my binder. Watched him with when he was with the Cards and had to listen to the mancrush announcers just rave about his tremendous power and gold glove defense. He was the king of the meaningless three run homerun when they would be up by alot in the late innings of course in important atbats it was a skyhigh popup. He would then make a diving play in the outfield that would look amazing but if you watched the replay it was because he played such a shallow CF and then get a terrible break on the ball. We used to call guys on our college team Jim Edmonds when they would make a needless sliding or diving catch. Sorry Jimmy but your not on my squad. Lol

Awe man, I thought we were cool hahaha. Jimmy was the man. In the 2004 NLCS, his Game 6 home run against the Astros and diving play in game 7 are the stuff of legends. He jump started the offense against Randy Johnson in NLDS 02 to dethrone the reigning Champs. And honestly, he was the only reason the Cards made the NLCS in 2000 after McGuire went down.

I know his defense was flashy sometines unnecessarily...but man, other than Andrew Jones there's nobody else in my lifetime I'd want roaming Centerfield in the playoffs.

With that all said, I totally get it. That's how I feel about Matt Holliday.

I'll be picking him up for sure. He will be replacing himself as my CF.

Stoked he's in a Cards uniform. Not that it really matters....but it looks cool on the manage squad screen when I can have all Cards.

Who is your squad of Cardinals right now?

I'm looking forward to a solid Bob Gibson, maybe a Postseason Tommy Edmon, a Finest Arenado or Goldy....so more pitching for sure.

Right Now (or as soon as I pick up the Edmonds cards) I am thinking it will be

    99 Ozzie Smith
    96 Stan Musial
    99 Albert Pujols
    99 Jim Edmonds
    99 Jordan Walker
    96 Nolan Gorman
    97 Paul Goldschmidt
    99 Yadier Molina

Bench - Edman, Heyward, Nootbaar, Brock, Winn

Starters - Wainwright, Montgomery, Mikolas, Gibson, Liberatore
Relief - Woodford, Stratton, Wittgren, Hicks, Cabrera, Gallegos, Lee Smith, 97 Helsley (since I only play offline Helsley and Smith are the only ones I ever use).

I will say, they have MUCH better Cardinals cards this year as opposed to last year. Better power cards. 21 was awful for Cardinals.

    MS Brock - LF
    700 Albert - 1B
    Finest Jimmy - CF
    MS Yadi - C
    Finest J-Hey - RF
LS Nolan - 3B (Love the glove)
    FS Gorman - 2B
    LOTF Ozzie - SS

Bench - LS Goldy, FS Walker, MVP Keith H, FOTF Edman, FS Winn

Rotation - Finest Waino, Topps Monty, Topps Miko, Topps Libby, LS Flaherty

BP - AS Helsley, Lee Smith and mainly LS fodder

    Now just need 99 Gibby

Hopefully the Cards go deep in the playoffs for many reasons (one of them being, we get some additional awesome rewards). I'd love to have a juiced Tommy Edman at 2nd or O'Neil or maybe some pitching.

Also, I'd have Albert at 3rd so I could put all star 22 Goldy at 1st. If we get a Finest Arenado, obviously he would go there and Pujols back to 1st.

I don't remember the Cardinals being that bad last year.

Yes, they screwed us out of both Edmonds and Pujols last year giving their best cards to the Angels.

But what we got last year that we don't have this year was that Sick 99 Carpenter Monthly Awards Flashback, O'Neill's 99 POTM card, A 97 Bader POTM, a 97 Nootbaar and then the Postseason and Finest cards.
