RS Takeshi 99 Card Guesses

We know Hamels is one of the new WS rewards tomorrow so I think we can rule out a pitcher. So 99 Legend Takeshi.
Top guesses are Gwynn, Mays, or Gherig. Maybe Banks or Boggs behind them.
Chipper would be a great call but he has been a rare card last 2 years so doubt they do it a 3rd time.
Trying to think what other legends would warrant a Takeshi offering as they tend to be bigger names for most part. ( smaller name options may be Molitor, Yount, Bagwell, Sandberg , Andrew Jones,

Ok, I like the Gwynn guess, Hank Aaron, Joe Mauer, Eddie Matthews, Barry Larkin.
You're probably right it's not a pitcher but if it were I'd think either Orel or Gibson.

A bunch of the ones I wanted already have a Takashi like Joe Morgan, Stan Musial, Rickey Henderson and Vlad Guerrero. But I'm thinking it could be Gwynn. He ended up being a great card last year and they could definitely give him max speed and nerf his power a bit.
Or if they want to make it a closer, Gossage, Miller or Wagner would be popular..

We need @SaveFarris_PSN to confirm if they have done 2 pitchers ( even if one is relief) for the WS or BR rewards before. I am doubtful they would do a reliever too. ( although would love one of the meta ones)

He is a player I never really use. I think he has a good swing, but I usually don’t like pitching with him.

Could be, but at the same time they definitely have Data that shows that in general Mays cards haven't gotten much use since he was the LS collection in 19. He is always in the 4-5 range when it comes to outfielders the last 2 years. I think they will maybe leave the door open for a Retro finest but this isn't going to be a Griffey situation

Yeah I think this could be a solid 99 card. The Takashi cards have been pretty pumped up. Mussina on paper has great attributes and pitch selection (I guess people are just use to him) Personally I love that card. Delgado and Babe are great cards and they're 97s. I think this could be a solid choice.

I agree, definitely not a Griffey situation , but in the stream last week they talked that this RF series will give them a chance to often give another 99 card to people that may have already gotten the signature, prime, awards, etc., so it wouldn’t surprise me.

Yeah, working through BR now and Moose is my target. I wanted Volpe at first (yankee fan) but I'm in love with the Takashi cards and I've been dying for a useable Mussina.
Also -- I need to spend more time grinding innings for WS. Ranked gets lost in the BR/Event/Program shuffle =/
