Keith Hernandez makes Juan Pierre look like Frank Thomas in this game.
I haven't seen such weird action off the bat since Victor Martinez back in the day.The ball reacts like a wiffle ball being hit by a wiffle bat, and goes about as far.
Weird swing or lack of power?
I keep going 3-4 with 3 weak singles in his moment.

Definitely low power for me, slapped a bunch of singles, but just no pop. Actually managed to take Simmons yard 4-5 times against RH (his weaker side).

I got lucky. Hit a gapper and just kept running and an off line throw allowed me to get a triple and then I managed a single after that (but I was so scared that I would not be able to get it)

I surprisingly hit a home run in moments with him. I don’t understand how he’s a 63 speed. He seems like he runs a 1000 mph. Lol

I haven't seen such weird action off the bat since Victor Martinez back in the day.Aside from my father, I don’t really have any real-life friends who are diehard baseball fanatics the way I am. So it makes me happy to be part of a community where someone can say “Keith Hernandez makes Juan Pierre look like Frank Thomas” and everybody knows exactly what that means.

I got this one the first time, thankfully. Now, Iron Man. That took me a long time to get those two.
When I started the Orioles mission, I stuck him on the bench, and what do you know? I PH with him and he hits an HR.

He is a hit and run 2 hole machine.
He is am opposite field gap hitter.
He makes plays at 1st no other has so far as he can Run
If your version of baseball is grip and rip, just pass on Mex.
But he is alot of fun for an 80’s guy.
AND…Thank you SDS for giving him the #17 which is his Mets # when he wore #37 in St L

I'm an 80's guy too, and Hernandez was a great hitter.
So give the guy SOME pop. At least gap-type power.

On my 5th attmept i got, i finally stopped trying to hit a home run (impossibe lol) and aimed for the right field corner, boom 2 doubles. Man though for a MVP this card is lacking.

Guys he hit 11 homers in 79
Compare to 2002 Garrett Anderson who hit 29 homers in 2002.
The power numbers seem correct.
The card represents 1979 baseball.
Use contact swing. Put two fast guys in front of him. Look for outside pitches with guys in scoring position.Many will struggle with this card.
It is just not todays baseball.But… see how much the Yankees currently like todays swing and miss approach?
