Who played the Beta and...

Beta pitching was much better than it is now, better than 19, but still wasn't perfect. The way the game plays now must be based on business decisions, not community feedback.

I wrote books in beta about pitching. They were ignored publicly and probably privately based on what we're seeing all year
Pitching in the beta was what it is now. Corners were hard to get calls and change ups, sliders, and curves were not easily located

Pitching location and calls are horrible right now.
How can you complain about calls when literally the strike zone is set to perfect?

A pitch that is half in the zone and half out of the zone is always a ball. A pitch three quarters in the zone is also sometimes a ball. The pitch that is half and half should go both ways.. if we want a realistic strike zone.

I’ve noticed that pitchers with low control get more calls the higher control pitchers. My three of kluber, Oswalt and degrom get shafted. But put shohei on the mound, he dots. Makes no sense

I think they will get pitching right in '21

Can’t tell if this is sarcasm, but this mindset is exactly how every company gets away with mediocrity year after year.

Sorry ya a little sarcasm. Still patiently waiting for it to get straightened out so I can finally pick up '20

I’ve hung so much off-speed it’s not funny.
On another note, I find it strange that my batter lags on high fastballs some innings, yet is too early in other innings. The inconsistency with timing is very frustrating.
It’s especially frustrating when someone with a WS banner pitches predictably and the game won’t allow you to rock their stuff. I lost to a guy a day or two ago that would begin every batter with a high fastball, followed by a slider in the same quadrant. Sitting on those, I could never hit them. Either my swing timing was very late or very early. In about the 6th or 7th I got a couple of homers, but then it went back to haywire timing after that.
