That is definitely crazy. Wanna hear another crazy stat? Nobody has hit over .350 in a full season (not counting the 60 game 2020) since Josh Hamilton in 2010. Juan Soto was 11 years old.

That is definitely crazy. Wanna hear another crazy stat? Nobody has hit over .350 in a full season (not counting the 60 game 2020) since Josh Hamilton in 2010. Juan Soto was 11 years old.
That’s awesome. Here’s another Gwynn stat. Gwynn faced 18 Hall of Fame pitchers for a total of 541 plate appearances. That’s essentially a full season’s worth of plate appearances exclusively against Hall of Famers. Gwynn batted .331/.371/.426.

My final guess is he is the August Lightning flashback. With the Field of Dreams program, it will be a Reds version from August 2005. He hit .355 with 10 HR...

Tony Gwynn faced Greg Maddux 107 times in regular season play, the most against any pitcher. He batted .415 and never struck out even once.
Tony Gwynn facts are like those old Chuck Norris tales.
In his entire 20-year career, Gwynn struck out 434 times -- an average of 21.7 K's per season. In 2019, 129 players had struck out 22 times by the end of April.
