Solution for toxic players...
-
The biggest combat to R2 cheese is to just deliberately take your time between pitches. I naturally quick pitch, so I saw a lot of r2 when I first started playing. I learned that as soon as it happened once, I knew I just had to take time between my pitches and there is nothing an opponent can do about it. Yes unfortunately it makes games take longer, so I usually would just quit. Since records don't matter to me, but still, if you just wait a couple seconds then pitch. It's fine.
I do think it's stupid, because the pitcher is supposed to control the pace of the AB, but alas it's a video game not real life.

Everyone has different definitions of toxic. As stated before this will open up a Pandora’s box of exploits…..
The report button would be abused like crazy, no need to give trolls another method of trolling

That's why it would need many reports in a certain period of time for having a consequence for those guys (let's say 10-15 or whatever in a day... just an example) People would get that "threshold" if they play stupid, not if they win....
people would just report people to report people.
Exactly this.... I had a guy hit 7 batters in one inning until game called for grieving last night after going down 2-0 in the 3rd inning. There are way too many sour players to have report option.

I am sure that we would have issue with false reporting but I am pretty sure the data would tell the real story of who is toxic. Most people appreciate good play regardless of score level. It is the non-reports that would separate the decent from the toxic.

R2 isnt toxic to me, more of a tool move… same as quick pitch every time. And bunt dancing….. but if you focus through it you normally make them quit, quick pitch guys get a negative on the pitch accuracy, and R2 guys normally are hoping you hang for a free hr, if your patient or step off the mound then it won’t work for them.
As for toxic players, people will report everyone that beats them or does a squeeze play with Frank Thomas at the plate ( which I personally abhor but it is normally bad players)

I have found that there is a limit to stepping off the mound or picking off when trying to offset the R2 and dancers. It is best just to learn to ignore it.
