Solution for toxic players...

Terrible idea. It will just get spammed by people who are mad they are losing and you will have a million "wrongfully banned" topics. There are already ways to report people for actually toxic behavior.
This. Player Reviews on XBox was/is the dumbest thing ever. Nothing but people who don't know how to play a game efficiently whining because they don't have a sense if strategy or just don't like how someone beat them.

I'm proposing a solution that could be "fairly easy" to implement against those m**ons that don't want to play the game properly.
There should be an in-game report button or something like that so that when we face up against someone who thinks is fun to hold R2 every pitches with every hitters for example you just have to hit that and there's a report filed against the player. Then, lets say after 5 or 10 reports from different users he gets banned for a day. Second time it happens, banned for a month. Third time, banned for the rest of the year until the next game goes out.
SDS has to do something radical against those stupid gamers that are there just to be toxic. And I don't even understand why they do that... I mean, they actually pay to do that and there's no point.
The end result is that it is chasing away people that actually want to play the game fair and square, and it chases away new players. I could go on and on about those people but I don't think that there would be anything new to say about them... it's been going on for a long time... Just tonight I had to play 4-5 guys like that... I could put out their names but I don't think it's allowed...
So anyway I'm curious to know your opinions on my idea of banning these guys... I think it would stop many to play like that and if not they will just get kicked out eventually...
Using R2 every pitch is not toxic if people are using it to set PCI lock. It is a tool for batters to use. I do understand thier are people who misuse the feature but problem is there is no way to determine how person is using it.
So it comes down to two sides of conversation. You either are for or against R2, b/c most people will not understand the fact that R2 is in fact a tool that coincides with PCI lock otherwise you get quick pitching that doesn't allow batter to use new PCI lock feature which would make it counter productive.

I don’t like it when people use R2, but there are any number of reasons why they do. As someone else stated, maybe they’re setting the PCI anchor. But maybe they’re extra sweaty and anxious, and need time in between pitches. To me, it is annoying, but not “toxic” and not against the rules.
-
Better idea is to evaluate reports, if a player is found to be toxic just queue the player against people thet have been found toxic in a special server for them.
I don’t know if this can be done.

....but you don't have to push R2 to set your anchor. It's not even that big of a deal... just wait 5 seconds to pitch and it's done. I do it intentionally if somebody is quick pitching me to slow them down. SDS has left this in the game this long, it's not toxic or cheating.

That would require way to much manpower, and since the game already has a ton of issues... not sure that would be the best use of said manpower.

That's why it would need many reports in a certain period of time for having a consequence for those guys (let's say 10-15 or whatever in a day... just an example) People would get that "threshold" if they play stupid, not if they win....
people would just report people to report people.

Edit: Double post

The biggest combat to R2 cheese is to just deliberately take your time between pitches. I naturally quick pitch, so I saw a lot of r2 when I first started playing. I learned that as soon as it happened once, I knew I just had to take time between my pitches and there is nothing an opponent can do about it. Yes unfortunately it makes games take longer, so I usually would just quit. Since records don't matter to me, but still, if you just wait a couple seconds then pitch. It's fine.
I do think it's stupid, because the pitcher is supposed to control the pace of the AB, but alas it's a video game not real life.

Everyone has different definitions of toxic. As stated before this will open up a Pandora’s box of exploits…..
The report button would be abused like crazy, no need to give trolls another method of trolling

Exactly this.... I had a guy hit 7 batters in one inning until game called for grieving last night after going down 2-0 in the 3rd inning. There are way too many sour players to have report option.

I am sure that we would have issue with false reporting but I am pretty sure the data would tell the real story of who is toxic. Most people appreciate good play regardless of score level. It is the non-reports that would separate the decent from the toxic.
-
R2 isnt toxic to me, more of a tool move… same as quick pitch every time. And bunt dancing….. but if you focus through it you normally make them quit, quick pitch guys get a negative on the pitch accuracy, and R2 guys normally are hoping you hang for a free hr, if your patient or step off the mound then it won’t work for them.
As for toxic players, people will report everyone that beats them or does a squeeze play with Frank Thomas at the plate ( which I personally abhor but it is normally bad players)
-
I have found that there is a limit to stepping off the mound or picking off when trying to offset the R2 and dancers. It is best just to learn to ignore it.
