It’s a video game that relies on hand-eye coordination. For you to call that discrimination is some ultimate woke [censored].

you are using woke in a negative way which is not the original meaning behind the term. this dude is simply wrong in his assessment, please don't tie his foolishness to a term that was meant for good.

My main concern with the “perks” is the stamina issue. There is no way Shohei should go 10 innings with 122 pitches and still have green energy. (Just an example of something I’ve seen with my own eyes watching 2 other people play. Stamina shouldn’t be influenced by which input method you use.

For any of you to think it’s foolish for someone to speak up for the handicapped and people that may not have a voice of their own shows exactly how toxic you are. I claim the opinion that “woke” is a negative term.

I think the way SDS balances it now is actually pretty good. The more accessible inputs have a higher floor but lower ceiling while the more skill based ones have a lower floor and higher ceiling. With classic or one of the easier ones you will never get as bad an input as you can with meter or PPP.

The stamina thing I believe is a bug they still haven't figured out since last year. Stamina should definitely be universal across the inputs.

People with opposable thumbs have an advantage in pretty much every console game.

Pinpoint pitchings “rewards” are discriminatory. A persons choice of pitching style, whether it’s chosen by choice or necessity, should all have the same results across all input styles for perfect, good, and late releases regardless of the pitching style. Some people could have physical handicaps that won’t allow them to use certain input methods. Pitching stamina should not be affected by an input method. Most of us can use pinpoint (it’s actually too easy for the perks) without any issue but there are a lot of people in the community that are put at a disadvantage because of their real life disadvantages.

    Ignorance! 🙄 explain

    There are 5 pitch types:

    PPP

    Meter

    Analog

    Pulse

    Classic

2 require use of sticks and 3 require push button. PPP and Meter have already been proven to be two most accurate in accordance to user input in competitive mode. 1 of each type. So discrimination? Not even close. All pitch types are available anywhere throughout the rest of the game.

You used physical handicap as part of your statement in defense so not sure what your point was to that. You want voice activation pitching? There is something for everyone and you have to practice with whichever you choose just like hitting types and fielding types. Just think your saying SDS is being discrimitory was way off base, (no pun intended) b/c that means for someone to be left out. And i just think that statement was proposterus.

Well said Grizz. The main issue I have is the stamina drain difference given to pinpoint. Difference in input method should not affect how fast stamina drains. Quality of pitch release should only do one thing, determine how accurate the pitch is. I have no issue with pinpoint perfect being slightly more accurate than meter. If you go back to my original post you’ll see that I only singled out one benefit, pitcher stamina.

You keep saying that. I wasn't aware that there is a stamina drain difference between pitching interfaces.

I wasn't either, i've dabbled in PPP last year didn't like it so went back to meter. I'm curious if it's the pattern follow that causes it? Or if it's more noticeable b/c of the lack of 90+ stamina guys?

I love it, but I haven't noticed any issues, but it's the only interface I've used this year and I've mostly played 3 inning games.

How big of a stamina drain are we talking? (9 inning games specifically.) I have pitched perfect games and cg shutouts with guys from FOTF to numnutts from royals city connect.

The term now is most often used derisively. I teach high school, and that's how teens use it too. But regardless, I will use it how I want to. Word meanings change, all the time.
