This pack release will inevitably bring down the price of the market at release, correct? Planned on buying Trout today but now I’m second guessing it with this news.
It really depends on who is In the rare round and how much the pack costs. If it has a player that alot of people want like a 95 chipper, and its 30k/pack than yes prices will drop for a short period.

The market is pretty tanked as is but this might bring it down a bit further before I suspect a Labor Day stub sale will set things on fire for a bit.

New choice pack on the way
Base round includes
91 Awards Wil Myers
91 Milestone Jaun Pierre
90 Prime Brad Hand
90 Prime AL Liter
90 2nd Half Matt ChapmanPierre is always a fun card. Great for certain events. Just a demon in the bases. Bloop hit singles for days
I don't think elite baserunners play well this year. I get caught stealing with Trae all the time, alsk outfielder arms and fielding is very strong this year.
The base stealing has been very random. Yet having him on the bases is trouble. It’s an added distraction and it usually sets me up for a healthy dose of fastballs for the next few batters.
This was BR last night for me with the Gold Loften, on base like 60% of the time and stole maybe once but got fastballs for days. Speed isn't just about stealing its the threat and how you can live rent free in some opponents heads with the fear of a steal
This is true. I really don't steal that much (compared to most people I see online) but I love getting Trea on to lead off a game, take 0 lead, and still watch people slide step/pitch out/spam fastballs. Then...once they start feeling save, swipe a bag just to make them go crazy.

Pretty sure you mean Memorial Day.

That’s quite a downgrade for Leiter compared to last year’s card. I approve. No-hitter cards were ridiculous.
-
BTW, putting Matt Chapman in the ALWAYS INTENSE pack.
Well played, SDS. Well played.

You have to use a certain trick to steal vs CPU this year. Online, fuggetboutit
Stealing vs the cpu is a nightmare. They KNOW when I'm running. Even if I run in counts that don't make sense. Oh....you're going to randomly slide step for the first time this game in a fastball count but throw a change up?....ok.
Online I find stealing a bit easier although sometimes the terrible jumps drive me nuts. Most players get predictible with their deliveries and I try timing taking my leads/mashing L1 when I think they are about to throw. Usually gets me a few steps/good jump.
Last year there was something you could do to prevent pickoffs and get stolen bases frequently vs CPU. They took it out this year, but there's another technique that works every time (you can still get thrown out, but you can steal easily with the 85+ speed guys at a 90% clip).
Do tell.
Would you mind sharing with me as well please? I’m strictly an offline player

These coming Friday?
-
when is this pack coming out?
-
So according to Merriam Webster the word prime means- first in rank, authority, or significance :
b: having the highest quality or valueHaven't Leiter's cards been in the upper 90s before? His Prime is an overall 90??? I'd give more stubs for an SDS detailed explanation of their ratings system/justification than I would for Mike Trout, Derek Jeter, and Barry Bonds combined!
-
I have been so frustrated with stealing bases this year, and it’s not even usually a big part of my game regardless. CPU always knows when you’re going, even in good counts and non-steal times. (Forget the fact that they constantly throw over on 60 speed, 40 steal guys. Why?)
And even online it’s bad. The jumps, even with good steal ratings are so horrible.

I think they've explained this on stream before. Cards with specific years (Rookie, Vet, AS, awards) are based on those years. Sig cards are typically a summation based on the entire career where Prime takes the few years in the middle of their career where they were at their highest. Milestones are obviously based on specific instances (no hitters will have high h/9s, milestone strikeouts will be high k/9, career hr milestones will have juiced power, etc)
This is of course a rough re-iteration based on a fairly poor memory so I may be off but that I believe is generally how it goes.
-
This confirms the first big collection is right around the corner. I thought the 27th but now it might be this Friday.

when do these packs drop
-
When does this drop?
-
Such wasted potential. The pack should have said "Always in tents" with a camping theme. Matt Chapman sitting beside a fire roasting marshmallows on the cover.
