Would you wager that we DO or DON'T get a game play patch this year?
I honestly don't think we're getting one at this point. I bet SDS likes their retention #'s for the low-skilled / casual players and they're not gonna mess with it.
It's just sad how SDS' communication has dwindled to almost nothing since MLBTS '20.
They used to communicate very well. I can deal with poor gameplay but the poor communication sucks.

The gameplay isn't all that bad. The diving plays where the fielder lands short then slides another 6 feet, baserunner speed, and the foul balls are the things I would want to be fixed, but those things go both ways for each player.
Almost forgot. 98+ mph pitches in on the hands with a very late swing (clearly batter was fooled) getting blooped to the opposite field is ridiculous. By far the worst thing.. that an foul balls

If I could have it my way, remove the outer PCI, cut out the BS foul tips, weak contact on jammed/late/bad swings…those are rewarded at a ridiculous rate when they should be swings and misses or weak contact in play for an out more often than it’s a bloop hit
Increase exit velocities on good timed swings. Love squaring up a fastball with good timing only to have it come off the bat maybe a few MPH harder than the pitch was thrown.

They didn't fix fielding in MLB 20 until like July. You can't give up on a gameplay patch this early

To answer your question, yes I think a patch will eventually come out. I’d be shocked if they didn’t at least attempt to fix the game with a patch after all the negative feedback out there

If they don’t even attempt to patch the game this year, given the consensus around hitting being downright awful, this game will surpass 18 in being the worst installment.
No way they’re that stupid to not release at least one patch. Even if it doesn’t change much, the optics of not trying to patch this dumpster fire would of a game wouldn’t be great.

But how can you not attempt to correct at least one of the glaring issues this game has with a patch? Even if the patch doesn’t work, fine, I appreciate the effort at minimum.
I can’t remember TS getting such negative feedback at this level since 18. If they do nothing that’s worse imo
