I play the online modes once in a while (Events and BR) but I have a career job and just don’t have the time to invest into ranked seasons. That means I play the single player modes the majority of the time - including RTTS.

As of right now, not including a few of the gold and diamond programs in RTTS, I’ve already completed everything available for the offline modes. The game is so boring right now that I’ve even completed every Conquest map.

To make matters worse, the game doesn’t feel rewarding. Out of the 37 Live Series diamond players available at the moment, I have exactly 4 of them — and 1 card was purchased on the marketplace. Given that I’ve completed all of the “Other Programs” (except Stages 2 and 3 of the April Series, of course), all of the Showdowns, the Conquest maps and 3 full Mini Seasons, you can imagine how many packs I’ve opened along the way. I’ve even played the Mystery Conquest map about 15-20 extra times because it’s a quick and easy way to get 5 The Show packs for free.

Maybe I’m wrong but I don’t remember the game being so boring and unrewarding when The Show 21 was released. I know it’s early but something needs to change. The odds say we have a 1 in 50 pack chance to get a diamond player but that’s a load of bullsh*t! On one occasion, I opened 108 packs before I pulled a diamond player and I’m currently on 86 packs without a diamond pull. On top of that, out of all the Ballin’ is a Habit packs I’ve opened - I’m still sitting at 1 diamond player from those packs and 0 diamond pulls from Headliners packs.

When you combine all of this with the many lazy-assed copied and pasted card images from The Show 21, I’m really disappointed in the replayability and the lack of effort put into the game.

At the very least, they could give offline players a replayable Showdown like they finally added last year so we can earn cards for winning and sell them for stubs on the marketplace.

Sorry for the length … I don’t comment very often but wanted to vent a bit.

You do know that it's a 1 in 50 chance that a single pack can have a Diamond in it?

It's not that 1 in every 50 packs should have a Diamond.

If you check the odds on a single The Show pack; it reads 1:50.

So, for every pack you open, you have a 1:50 chance that one of those 5 cards will be a Diamond.

I get what you're saying. But if you've completed that much stuff offline, I think you can do more online stuff and reward yourself with some new cards.

Eh, don't feel bad. I had decent pack luck last year but this year I have one Altuve to show for in around 400ish packs. I wore out the CQ Mystery Map for a while and just let them build up over time. Those packs are all CQ MM and whatever gets handed out. No chance I purchase packs, especially with my lack of fortune thus far. I don't do Ranked either, but do play some Events to use different cards and not focus on needing/having a God squad. I just want to play when I have the time as well, which is limited for me with work and family.

I stopped counting after 500 packs and only had 5 diamond pulls with Matt Olson being my best pull. This is not acceptable, so I feel your pain. Also anyone bashing you for this wrong. I like this game but still know there's flaws.

Packs are all over the place for sure. I have pulled Trout, Acuna and DeGrom twice each, and lots of other diamonds, some multiple times. But I know some people get shafted. If I’m doing well, somebody else is paying for it. The Pack Gods must get their sacrifice.

The regular packs seem all right; but for the headliners and BIAH packs, I’m way, way under the odds if I go across the last 4 years. Hundreds of those is still a relatively small sample compared to thousands of regular packs, but you’d think I could reach 1/20 for 1/10 odds of a diamond. No way I’m close to that number.

Since they adjusted QS values, it would be nice if they did an exchange so we could get diamonds. That could definely boost the market on golds. It would also make pulling packs worth it again. Last diamond I pulled was Lindor who was selling for 3500 stubs. That is not right!

1000% yes, but I'd like add an additional word to describe my current experience and that word is "Frustrating". So, Boring, Unrewarding, and Frustrating. I'm currently debating shelving this atm. MTO is the only area where I see an improvement this year, imo the gameplay, grind, and rewards went waaaay downward. I'm still holding out hope that they make some gameplay changes before I just decide to stop playing this year, and that will effect if I will purchase future titles. I will say though, the simulation is like the real MLB this year.. deadball. But, as a game it just isnt fun to play that way.

I guess i agree with the boring single player but If you mostly play single player of any game then it will get old pretty quick. To me the whole point of the game is online. There isnt much time to finish events br an rs all together. At least with workin 5days a week etc an gettin couple hrs a day to play. There was no way id finish 400 innings on rs so i didnt try this season. Trying to do all thr events an br it really is to many games to play. So if you look at it like that then theres kinda to much

I agree with you. It is very unrewarding in multiple ways, packs, good swings and perfect pinpoint. I have played a ton and I have DeGrom which I won in a 12-1 BR run. I did pull Tatis in the first week but used him to make my whole RS squad better. Let's be honest, selling Tatis wasn't getting me any closer to collections. The top 7 alone are over a million and I have 1 of them. I am no where close so unless I pull a Trout or Acuna (never pulled either since I've been playing), I am not going to do collections. The only real person worth collecting is Johnson.

"I’ve even played the Mystery Conquest map about 15-20 extra times" I agree with you but if you have time to grind conquest like this you can play events and get some great rewards. I built a pretty solid team with event rewards and pulled several diamonds from the reward path packs. Pulled a Brice harper last night.

Agree 100% - game is just not the same this year. I play both online and offline and its just boring, less rewards and more grind on top of hitting being terrible this year just makes me not motivated at all to play this game.

You summed it up nicely at the end. If you want realism/ simulation then we are getting it with hitting being hard and no runs being scored. Which I would be a fan of at higher levels. Ranked in the 700s it should be hard to score. But if I'm just messing around doing conquests on rookie the score should not be 2 - 0 every game. I'm crushing the ball and yet it goes nowhere, or gets robbed at the fence, or the 104mph linedrive gets caught by the pitcher.
