Online play is making me hate this game again

Literally 90% of pitches thrown are in the dirt or a foot off the plate in either direction. I'd like to see them implement a penalty of some sort to a pitchers confidence. I know pitching out of the zone is a part of the game, and sure every now and then its needed. but to throw trash up there every pitch is just boring.
Maybe a threshold of distance away from the plate if you miss that bad then it affects your confidence? Might curb the kids throwing changeups in the dirt all game

You are aware that it is impossible to strike people out that contact swing. Your opponent has just learned the only way to possibly get a swing and miss is to spike the ball off the dirt and most of the time that doesn’t even work.

I highly recommend Franchise mode I think u might like it man it’s peaceful and quit + u can customize it how you like cpu rarely pitches in the dirt .

I could, but if you are gonna swing why would I? Not to mention balls just put of the zone are getting crushed in this year's game

A penalty??? Don't swing and you get a free base. If you want to swing at bad pitches and your opponents are trying to win the game... why would they give you pitches to hit? The best way to get them to throw strikes, is to not swing at balls.

I like the angry messages I occasionally get about throwing it in the zone… yeah, I’m going to throw bp you idiot… when I swing at 7 straight sliders a foot inside, the only person I get mad at is me.

I know what your saying and i get it. People just don't have integrity. It is true if you don't swing it will be a ball. But in the same breath the strike zone is out of whack as well. And it is 100% boring.
If PAR, pitch movement,and strike zone were legit it would be a step in right direction for better competition indeed. It's getting there just not there yet.

In years passed I would have thrown you some meatballs once I was up but my pitchers have like a negative K/9 rate and eras somewhere in orbit with Elon and Bezos.

Work on your Plate discipline and you will frustrate them and they will throw a bunch of Meat right down the middle of the plate when they try to hit corners they know they can’t hit
