They will have to be livid then, the game launches on the 31st theres not enough time, maybe they can add it later in a patch.

For the playoff change, it depends how future-proof the game code is. It would touch on quite a few parts of the game: MTO, progression through Franchise and RTTS, standings, commentary, the playoffs system, playoffs mode, the calendar… a bunch more I’m sure. A lot of things to test out and then bug fix.
Based on previous years where late changes didn’t make the cut it’s unlikely such a big change would have been planned ahead with the proposed scenarios. But hey, you never know.

Yeah, SDS can always update the game. And I wouldn’t be surprised if we see updates through the season. Remember we haven’t had the DH at all in the game before. So a little longer wait won’t hurt. My best wishes to SDS as they get this done. I hope they at least address some of the concerns we have a little so we know what we can possibly expect. SDS has quite a job ahead of them. And thank you guys at SDS for all you do.

Franchise players will be upset but franchise players are always upset, rightfully so, at the lack of attention the mode gets.
At this stage though anything that was not previously developed or anticipated will not make it it. Three weeks to make a fundamental change like the new playoff rules and get those changes implemented and tested in Franchise and March to October before release seems like a tall order.
As for the runner on second rule, I would think that would be doable, as that does not seem like a major change.
The universal DH is something that they should have been planning for. It is a major change, in my opinion, for Diamond Dynasty, but it is one that has been forecasted as an upcoming change for several years now.

Well universal DH won't be an issue for Franchise, shifts are not til next year. I think they can patch the extra innings base runner. The big thing will be that 12 team format, it will have to be patched in later if possible at all.
