Haha hey I'm not pointing fingers but I definitely know people who do this. Not judging either, just saying putting too much stock in a record is stupid since they don't tell the whole story.

I don't really blame anyone who doesn't want to play on HoF though
I hate the difference in difficulties. I could get used to HOF, but grinding offline on rookie, then playing on all star, It’s hard to adjust w the difficulty constantly changing.

I broke 200 wins and like 173 losses above 500 which makes me happy

Wouldn’t you rather see your opponents rating rather than their record anyway.

This my friend. My son taught me the term “Smurf” which is based on these type of players.
But to each their own, some really care about their record, but as you said, it doesn’t take long to figure out if a guy is really good or a Smurf.

you are absolutely right - back in 2017 a bunch of us like Miju, Ryan, tons of amazing players on this forum - we would gauge how good based on BR flawless tickets or event run records - nothing ever tells the big picture but smurfing is a big thing especially in 2021, because you only need those cumulative W's
i would regularly tank myself just to cruise through and get those 30 W's as quick as possible
i think my record is 130-60 this year, but before that Trout card it was 80-25
your point is completely right, i wonder if in 2022 they will still do cumulative or you have to hit WS to get X card

I can pitch, but good gravy, I do not hit.
Lot of 2-1, 1-0 and a boatload of opponent rage quits.
Usually in the 675 to 750 range, so slightly above average I would say. -

you are absolutely right - back in 2017 a bunch of us like Miju, Ryan, tons of amazing players on this forum - we would gauge how good based on BR flawless tickets or event run records - nothing ever tells the big picture but smurfing is a big thing especially in 2021, because you only need those cumulative W's

i think my record is 130-60 this year, but before that Trout card it was 80-25

Yeah my record doesn't say a thing either because I only played 30 games. My banner on the other hand is the 5x flawless and I was close to 10 but I stopped playing. I'm sure my opponents were more fazed by my banner than my record despite it being 27-3.

I did play a 12-0 banner guy in BR the other day. He took an early lead, I tied, went to extras and walked it off in the bottom of the 5th. Probably the most satisfying win I had all year. Not much of a "Flex", but I'll take it.

It's always nice to beat an accomplished player. Not every WS or 12-0 banner guy is good, but they are somewhat accomplished. So there's no shame in being happy with those Ws at all.

I’m lots of fun at parties and other small gatherings.
Anyway, to actually contribute to the topic of this thread, my record is quite similar to yours. 1-0 I think. Or 1-1. I can’t remember if I played a second game that day or not
